Windows 10

is there any AMD GPU W10 drivers about yet?

looked on the driver download page and only has windows 8.1 as the latest driver download

No official AMD driver but the latest beta driver works now, without any graphics problems.

I have been using windows 10 at work since first public release and only had a few issues so far and that was fixed after letting MS know about the problem with the old intel display driver that i had.

What i find good is that all the corporate software works just the same as in windows 7, even the rare and crappy bespoke ones. If business are eligible for a free upgrade then i will be updating the sites i work at to windows 10. I have not had a chance to test the new MDT or powershell software deployments tools yet. Anyone tried those?

Definition Update for Windows Defender (7 updated today so far with this) on the fast ring on Windows 10 Enterprise x64 Build 10162

I choose to go for Enterprise as it has more features and more stronger security than Pro

How do i get the enterprise version?..can i go from 8.1 pro to 10 enterprise and get a valid licence or you have to pay for that one?

What I did is:

Get the version Windows 10 Insider Preview (x64) - Build 10162 ISO here via Microsoft link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/preview-iso

install that onto clean HDD or SSD and enter product key for Pro version:
8N67H-M3CY9-QT7C4-2TR7M-TXYCV

when install completed. Now go to system and click upgrade to add features and put a new product key in: CKFK9-QNGF2-D34FM-99QX2-8XC4K and it will upgraded to Enterprise from Pro with addition more features and that's it.

Thank you! ;)

10200 / 16 = 637.5

For it to end in 00 and be divisible by 16 these are your options:

10400
10800
11200

I wrote a little matlab code to work it out for me :p

Code:
Numbers = [600:700]*16;
PossibleBuildNumbers = Numbers(find((mod(Numbers,100))==0))

Thank you for your calculations! :)

If what I had read was correct, and bearing where they are at the moment, then 10400 looks like quite a long way away, but nevertheless I will stick with that one for now, I think!

I have build 10130. Has Microsoft stopped giving us the updates to the newer builds, all I seem to get is the updates for windows defender. I have the thing set for fast, so i can get all the updates.

I'm on 10162, fast ring and not getting any new builds either...

maybe it's regional?

I had to update with an ISO to get passed that today.

10162 is working very fast on my Surface Pro 3. Launches programs quickly.

Noticed there is another build showed up on buildfeed.net 10.0.10208.16384.th1.150707-1528.

Look like build 10208 will be sign off as RTM on Thursday just hours away.

Nothing here either. I installed build 10130 (UK version) via Windows update over the top of my main 2yr old 8.1 install, within a few hours of running 10130 on the fast ring it asked me to install 10162 and have been on that since.

Works great though and the only bug I have is after running full screen games, or turning the screen off for a few hours while the PC is running there is a small chance that the text and some of the icons on the start menu dissapear, still clickable though, just can't see anything.

To fix that I either restart explorer.exe or I have found that running this command in powershell works great.

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

anybody had luck getting windows 10 installed on a windows 8.1 single language (OEM) system? ( upgraded form 8)

signed up to the insider program, but was thinking of converting the old 8 license...

windows update is up to date, tried opening the KB (Gwx.exe)...

I've had a quick flick through this thread and cannot see what I'm looking for.

I'm on windows 7 and have not had the upgrade to 10 invite, am I alone?

How are you expecting to get it? It just appears as a white Windows flag in the system tray.

Is your copy of Windows properly activated?

Andi.
