Ice Cream Men

Ice Cream man just turned up, got a Cherry Brandy ice lolly and a an oyster with sherbet and sauce mmm..

I don't think I'll ever stop using them, the sound of them in the summer makes me feel like a kid, rushing around indoors to get some change and running out like a loon to catch him before he goes... well.. not quite that frantic

Same bloke been doing for about 25 years round my way, he's a made a good living off of it.

This is not mine, but funny, two men fighting over their turf Mr Whippy is not happy

There is an ice cream man still going round here who I used to buy ice cream from when I was a kid 20+ years ago. I bet the profits are squeezed these days due to the petrol prices.

I find it so bizarre hearing the ice cream van tunes. It's like a split moment reliving the late 80s again.

As well as the days of mothers/older brothers running down with armfuls of empty glass bottles. You don't see that anymore. Let alone cues.

Talking of glass bottles, I remember the milkman use to sell fizzy drinks on his milk float, is funny shaped glass bottles, not proper branded stuff, but it was Cola and Lemonade etc..

Hmm, wasn't there fireballs? and the decorated huge eyeballs. With quite a hard shell that eventually broke down.

Back in the day I remember people coming out with bowls and getting a full bowl of ice cream for after dinner when ice cream van come round on Sundays lunch time. I never see that now.

The ice cream guy around here really annoys me! The music is so loud it hurts your ears. I was tempted to buy an icecream and throw it at him once when his stupid music woke me up!!

There needs to be a limit on the volume!!

Yep, I heard of a local milkman who's job title was a little misleading to say the least, more like a dealer who also happened to have a few bottles of milk on him
