Bought an item on eBay, seller hasn't shipped it

I bought an item on eBay and paid straight away.

Two weeks later the seller hasn't shipped the item so I've raised a case, stating that I still want the item.

What's the most likely outcome? I assume it is that I get a refund (which is good but I doubt I'll be able to get the item for such a good price again).

Could be a payday scammer.

Seller sells something they dont have and it effectively is a 0% bridging loan until they get paid and ebay refunds you

Does that go on? That's a new one lol. Having been a seller on eBay since 2007 I rarely sell anymore now as it's just a minefield with idiots getting away with all sorts of scams and people wanting refunds for perfectly good items.

I think I was victim to one a couple of months ago.

Ordered game of thrones box set on blu ray. Got a despatched notification email in 5 minutes even tho it was 7pm and nothing more. Ignored my emails and had to wait for ebay to refund after 3 orvso weeks.

Yeah, I've done this in the past.

Start auction at 99p, sells for 99p - oops - sorry, must have been lost in post, please raise a case and I'll refund (ebay fees get refunded as well). Then sell item privately.

I've seen this done before (although at least the seller was honest with me).

Sold me a book, then realised that the total price + fees wasn't even enough to cover the postage.

If it looks too good to true, it normally is. You were never going to get it for that price, he was never going to sell it!

Happening to me at the moment, bought an iPhone 6 on Monday for £390 brand new, paid straight away, the seller then tells me he can't send until Friday because of work... So it's Saturday now and no idea if it's been sent, had very little communication from the seller. So it's just a waiting game now? Did the op get your money back ok?

Just buy and or sell to those who have 10+ purchases or sales and have 99%+ in rep.

I never have problems, so long as I keep to this..

The seller has 100 percent feedback and 62 things bought/sold. I am very wary of things like this.
