Largest US abortion provider caught on tape selling body parts

So when does life begin, and please back up with a suitable source.

Here is some evidence to show that life begins at conception. The website is a pro-life site, but the sources it cites are not.

That's fine then, so you're fine with operating to remove the 9 week old from the mother womb instead?;)

Out of context quotes don't really mean anything.

when does life being is a more philosophical question, which leaves it open to subjective opinion and people talking absolute ********...

life can begin as a sperm if you want it to...

The medical consensus on when life begins. It begins at conception.

Don't take no genius to work out the beginning of a humans life cycle is when a sperm and an egg meet and share their secrets with each other....

When is a baby sentient would be a more pertinent question, maybe... just maybe.

Edit:
life can begin as a sperm if you want it to...

/hoping not for religiously this.

Am going doooown if so.

Well science disagrees with you. Science is clear on when human life begins and that sperm isn't alive.

Well, Dowie is disagreement on that.

When is a baby sentient is a very different question and I would argue that science shows us that this is before it is born. However, the law allows for sentient humans who are unborn to be aborted.

not really...

and FYI a sperm is alive

or maybe not

but it is philosophical

so your 'scientific consensus' statement is nonsense

what is life?

No, you just fail to comprehend what people write.

You don't even understand what 'science' is saying.

OBVIOUSLY THE BEGINNING OF 'THE HUMAN LIFE CYCLE' IS AT THE POINT OF CONCEPTION. Find me a scientist who would disagree and I will give you a chocolate teapot.

That is the most easy question, like ever. It is when 2 things come together and make 1 new thing. That new thing is the start of new 'life'.

But there was life before that, the sperm was alive, and the egg was alive.

Both alive, both 'life'.

The harder question (and imho the most important one,) is at what point is this new life... sentient.

Anyway, back to the selling of organs. There is a balanced piece from CNN here :

http://edition.cnn.com/2015/07/16/opinions/stanley-planned-parenthood-video/index.html

You think that's a balanced piece? Christ.

The video has been deliberately edited to mislead. The full 3 hour interview has been leaked online so you can go and watch it yourself if you like and confirm that for yourself.

As for the stupid allegations of that CNN piece: tissue donated saves lives. Just as organ donation is a macabre business of slicing up the dead at heart so is this.

I demand my chocolate teapot! ;)

There is no single point of conception. It's an over simplification of a complex process that takes time to unfold.

Yes, yes. At least you are a thinker :)

Ah, but you need scientific proof in order to win it.

You can feast upon this cookie in the meantime, *hands cookie*.

Bear in mind that a 'point of' can refer to an event that takes place during a period of time and not a single point in time.

It is an interesting thought to ponder, whether there is an actual single point of conception.

I wonder, if there is not a single point of conception, could there even be a conception?

The shop at Cadbury world sells chocolate teapots. Of no relevance to the current conversation but I think it is interesting nonetheless.

That's changing the deal! You said "find a scientist" who disagrees, I am scientist and thus I've found a scientist (myself) who disagrees :D

There isn't. Conception is a process so it cannot be reduced to any particular point; you could arbitrarily define it as various points along that process but that would be largely dodging the issue.

This is equivocation. It is equivocating between life - in the sense of a biological life cycle - and human life which we consider valuable. Science can tell you when various points of development are reached; it cannot tell you how to attribute moral value to those developments nor how that moral value should be balanced against the bodily autonomy of the mother.

:D American media is never quite so.

He opened the thread with links to the DM and Breitbart in the OP. The DM is a tabloid celebrity rag pretending to be a broadsheet and Breitbart is a scum hive of conservative hack bloggers pretending to be journalists.
