Everyone will have access.
There'll be a percentage fee to pay the MM the moderators.
, not to mention a wealth of information.

YAWN
It's the only fair thing to do unless you want no MM until there are enough members with 1,000 posts and 180 day membership.
If you prefer to wait for 180 days we'll take that idea on board.

I'm not wanting to pay.. I like the fact I had to stay around to get 1000 posts to get access to that. This is the only forum I use, pretty much every other forum the layout bugs me. This is really simple, I like it. Unlike that reddit crap, that just hurts my eyes to read and everyone is so butt hurt it's unreal!
I think the most controversial feature of the new forum will be the option to pay to have other users banned for a week.
I think it was one of the GC mods who suggested that, pointing out we could probably make a fortune off it (well enough for a new top of the range card each every year).

Seriously!? haha
Yeah, but then how would that work? One person paying to get someone banned and then no one else agreeing? or would be a vote where you say yes, i'll pay and then when the vote 'closes' so to speak you pay?

What software and version will the new forums be based on, vbulletin? invision power board? phpbb? If there is a free tier and a paid tier which had more features such as custom avatars, custom sigs etc i think people would be fine with that. Having a paid only forum would result in a mass exodus and the content would be greatly harmed due to less expertise of users to share their knowledge.
