I'm crumbling...

Well I've seen none in the MM.

But yeah, the 980ti is selling well atm and people aren't selling them. Mind you I've not seen any Fury X either apart from one on MLG for £495.

Why would no one return to another brand? Always go for the better product :/

I feel I did the best I could for my £450. The Zotac Amp Extreme costs £589.

As for why I would buy another brand? because I'm far from impressed with the other one's business scruples perhaps?

I have morals.

You forgot to mention that the cheapest cards are not from the UK ;)

The only cards showing for £435 + £14 postage are from the USA and customs is $150 (£96) on top of that. The cheapest UK 980ti I saw was £515 used.
that would therefore be a 'NO' you cannot get a 980ti cheaper than £450.

Ok looks on other popular sell your second hand stuff site.

SH980ti.jpg

The top one is 11 miles from me, so it wouldn't even cost me postage.

Its such a pointless discussion anyway as I'm not in the market for a second hand 980ti.

Comparing a second hand Fury's with new 980ti's pricewise is ridiculous.

Enjoy your FuryX, Andy. I too decided to stay away from NVIDIA cards, due to their shady business practices. I also detest the idea of gameworks vendor specific performance improvements etc.

Because everyone can just walk 11 miles to get a GPU right?
No, not everyone has a car.

It's also a reference card, hot and loud, not overclockable anywhere near as well as the non reference, or one of the cheapest you can find, not one of the cards that is faster out of the box.

This is a typical case of try hard.

HOW DARE SOMEONE BUY SOMETHING THEY WANT. YOU ARE WRONG, YOU SHOULD BUY THIS BECAUSE OF *insert rubbish here*

Theres a jet stream there as well... And a minute ago you said you wanted a reference card... Honestly make your mind up mate, all over the show :D :D

Opens browser, type in the name of a popular auction sight, type in NVidia 980ti, see prices from £435 upwards.

That would be a 'YES' just in case you didn't understand the sarcasm above.

Looking at that ad, why on earth would someone sell a card after just 2 days?
Anyway a reference 980Ti for £450 + postage (and the risk of maybe never receiving it) vs a FX with AIO from OCUK MM. Decisions decisions. :p

Sorry what?
I haven't posted in this thread before....
I also mentionee the Jetstream, its not one of those heavily out of the box overclocked version.

I suggest you go back and look at that again I did say the top one, that is a Palit super Jetstream, a non reference card with good cooling and decent clocks out of the box.

When you've done the above, now go back and reread the whole thread, he asked me if I had seen any 980ti's for that price, nobody is trying to tell him what to buy at all.
If I was to give my advice it would have been stick with what you have as I think a single FuryX/980ti wont give you better performance than your two Titan blacks anyway. It is a massive side step for a lot of money, in my opinion completely not worth it.
But at the end of the day it is entirely up to him and I hope he enjoys his new card.

+152Mhz is hardly decent clocks, not enough to make enough of a difference that buying a Fury X over a 980Ti was a terrible decision anyway

Plenty of people in this thread are arguing with him that he should have spent his money in a specific way because of their own reasons.

He said he made money selling the titan blacks back, due to the titan's prices, but I agree.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ANDY, WON'T YOU PLEASE CANCEL THAT FURY X AND GET A Ti !!!!!!!!!!!!oneone!!!!!!1111111111!!

:D :p ;)

Yeah and pop around and take a dump on Greg's lawn whilst I'm at it ;)

As for that 980ti? Acrington would be about a 400 mile walk.

I await meaningful overclocking on the Fury X with water cooling as standard. Let's see what it can do then, when all is fair.

Sorry, typo, Andy was asking about reference models just a second ago

Andy: But you don't overclock, so why do you need voltage control for anything to be "fair"? :D
And is watercooled vs aircooled "fair" or is it watercooled both ways and "price/performance" the deciding factor, with price being second hand or shop price? And is it stock bios or modded? Or is it a wild card round robin with sudden death? Or is it just whatever results in it supporting your current purchase?

Pre-emptive strike :p

Caught in the crossfire? ;)

Gamesworks is not vendor specific, unlike say Mantle.
