So as it's now RTM, am I correct in saying this turkey is going live as is with no more changes?![]()
Why turkey - I have found build 10240 runs very well for me - obviously there are still glitches to be fixed, but they will come sooner or later. Which build are you currently on?
(or 8.11 for Homegroups lol).I've still not got the Win 10 logo. Google-foo has failed me at everything I have tried.
Hmmm mine was updated KB3074667 10 min ago then restarted PC and booted reached lockscreen fine.
Here you go: http://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-get-the-windows-10-upgrade-icon-if-its-missing/
That app will diagnose the system and tell you what Windows KB updates your missing, install them and run it again (if the logo doesn't appear on reboot).
I would hope the upgrade is clever enough to check it has space before it will let you run it.

Not everyone will have the opportunity to upgrade on the 29th, but they should have received the opportunity to 'reserve' a copy before then, assuming of course that they have a legal and qualifying copy of Windows 7. 8 or 8.1 already installed.
I have a non-qualified version of 8.1 (Pro Embedded), but I have briefly used Windows 10 as part of the Insider program.
Will Insider members be given a genuine Windows 10 license key to use after launch?

Cheers, thanks for the replies. I'm screwed then as my Win7 license is also non-qualified.
I'll wait and see how easy/expensive it is to get on to the Long Term Service Branch!
