Last time, I was walking on a pathway and went onto the street as the crap was all over the pavement...

People pick up their dogs crap, why can horse riders just get away with it?

It also annoys me when you see a horse rider on the road who is creating traffic, I mean seriously can't they just transport horses to the country and ride away from the roads?

BTW Do they even pay tax?

Where my mum lives is terrible for it. Riding your bike, round a corner and get taken out by a massive pile of horse turd isn't really an ideal situation.

Its cause its not dangerous unlike dog poo.

And people used to be thankful for it in the old days and people would race from their front doors to be the first to get there to scoop it up.

Nowadays you cant even give the bloody stuff away.

I agree, as a car driver I always show consideration for Horse riders, bout time they did the same.

Although in some places in the uk, that Horse poo is like goldust

I've never understood this. I can understand that it wouldn't be ideal to carry a shovel and a bin bag every time you go riding. But they should at least have some service which will later following the route the riders took and clear up the mess they left.

Makes it unpleasant having to walk past stuff like this.

I was commuting back from work yesterday in rain and on the roundabout there was a massive pile of horse crap. I skidded on that pile with both tyres, but managed to save it...

If they don't have to pick up their horse's crap which is causing a potential hazard on the road especially for the bikers. Why should I pick up my dogs crap?

BTW I don't have a dog, but you know what I mean... :p

You should be standing at the side of the road doffing your cap when they pass, not complaining. Peasant.
:p

They don't pick it up in France. They just leave it.

That said, I think it's because people use it to fashion their houses out of... something like that.

Legally they're meant to clean it up.

The rider that is. Not the horse. Unless it's a very well trained horse.

It helps fertilise the road, which in turn encourages the tarmac to grow. You have to be careful though and trim the tarmac regularly as it can grow out of control and "keep left" bollards, the egg sack of tarmac, will have the tendency to multiply.
