Windows 10

Am I missing something or is it still the case that the only place you can have the Recycle Bin is on the Desktop? Seems a bit old school.

The new Stat Menu is far better than it was in Windows 8 but it is still rather inflexible. Editing the All Apps list is incredibly painful and clearly not intended for end-users. I hope this gets addressed in future updates as I am trying to resist installing Start8/10.

It's similar to even the Windows XP All Programs list on the Start Menu. I don't see a problem with it really. Just make a habit of launching stuff by typing the name in, then you don't need to use the start menu anymore.

Only issue so far is that the Logitech SetPoint software for my Performance MX gives dire scrolling issues in Chrome, without or without the usual smooth scrolling plugin or Logitech's own. It was fine in 8.1.

The only other problem is that the Steam version of Carmageddon 2 doesn't run, which is a bit gutting as it's still one of my favourite pickup games for a bit of quick fun. :(

Some of the stuff does not even work, for example, in the start menu, the link for Windows Update does nothing...

I did the upgrade a week ago and i dont have a windows update link in the start menu anywhere, seems upgrading from one windows to another throws up different results for different machines.

Christ office 365 subscription version keeps popping up when I start word etc saying I need to activate even though my install shows as activated in then fails with a something went wrong error... No amount of repairs, uninstalls fixes it.

Anyone got the same problem?

How are people finding Gaming performance on Windows 10 now? When I last checked benchmarks a while back, power consumption etc. was better in W10 but FPS were slightly higher in W7.

I can’t see DX12 having much of an impact for a good while.

Getting pretty fed up with this really, doesn't seem like a finished product, I shouldn't need this amount of registry editing just to make the thing work as well as it's predecessor >.>

I've got a feeling W10's reliance on phone apps over proper programs is going to sour a lot of people.

We got that the first 7,453 times you said it :p

W10 isn't about a new look and feel, its about a whole new way that Windows is delivered.

I disagree. It is about look too. Not just delivery. Majority of people who want it dont want it because of how its delivered!!
