To Disable Lock Screen on Win 10 Home Edition:

I downloaded their DisableLockScreen zip and run in and it worked!!!! Last time i tried to do it manually. Didn't realise they had a little zip file to download (I must read things properly!)

Anybody on Home edition that wants to disable the Lock Screen download the zip and run it. Works a treat!!

My problem is that when I turn the PC on it boots straight into my account, but there are several users with accounts on the machine, can I get it to display the accounts when it starts up?

You just needed to create the path or folder yourself. You likely didn't have the Personalization folder. Good that the .reg file helped in doing this though.
 
Even though my pc is 4-5 months old, would a clean install be recommended rather than upgrade?
I'm not a digital hoarder; absolutely no junk software or files I dont need, In fact im an obsessive ccleaner. Everyone says it will be faster but would it be worth it for me? also I have a LOT of custom settings ant it would be a pain to reconfigure preferences etc

As you have to upgrade first, just select keep everything.

Try it out for a bit if you feel its not great then you can use in the built in "reset" which is sort of like clean installing.

Upgrade to get your key activated, then fresh install. Just to make sure its a fresh start and to prevent driver incompatibility.
 
Well cortana now sorted after much head scratching, it was a setting in bing/IE that used my town as a search point changed that to UK and my post code and now I have cortana.
 
right done the install and actually really like this w10 i have encountered one prob though i can not get email app working i have put my email addys in but when i check for mails it says not yet synced, then syncing, then nothing found when i know there is emails there to be read

how can i fix this :(
 
Yes will do! I actually thought i had added it already. I think i was changing so much of it last night i forgot what i had and hadnt done :P :cry:
 
arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh still cant get this email set up and im only trying to use my hotmail account have tried both auto and manual settings and nothing just says syncing then shows nothing to show

d/l windows live and used the mail app on that and straight in no problem so there must be a prob with the mail app ? anyone else using it and does it work

in command promt

mmm think that might have done the job thanks this mail app seems different to the win8 one as in that you could view all your accounts in one but this one you need to click each account . but thats for another day lol

Which setting?

Edit: Never mind, found it on the Bing website settings. It's completely fudged though, various settings in Cortana are disabled saying they're not available, yet Cortana is working. Won't let me change my name though, just says "Hi <user_name>", and various other things don't seem to work quite properly.
