Can you do a search for new hardware and see if it locates and re-installs the mic?
 
upgraded the old core 2 e6300 rig yesterday
upgraded the i7 920 rig this morning
no problems at all, making me think about consolidating office/mail/calendar into 365 tho

in both cases i downloaded the installer and chose
- upgrade this computer
- keep nothing

Looks like Microsoft have tried to force a Windows 10 upgrade from my Windows 7 when i havnt even reserved a copy.. wtf.

Turn the privacy settings back on.
Cortana CA t work without the rights.
Silly people panicking and switching off all the privacy settings, without realising what they actually do.

How are you meant to store files in one drive, how is Cortana meant to use Microsoft servers, how is Cortana able to read your colander or emails, without this privacy policies.

You lose so much function turning these off. especially once we get all the Cortana features US does. Cortana is amazing.
And that's without actively using it.
 
Its trying it again, i see a $Windows.~BT folder in my Windows 7 C drive without me reserving a copy of 10 yet, jeez this is gona pump up my bandwitdh usage. 3.5GB ish file everytime i reboot my computer?

M$ ur starting to make me mad now :mad:

Anybody know how i can stop this from happening? This HAS to be something to do with me dual booting 7 & 10.

I already have Win 10 installed and i too keep getting this!!
 
I'd like to keep my win7 on dual boot with 10 but from what I read, I have to install 10 over the to of 7, no way I can get around this?

At least im not on my own with this.. man this is crazy, wtf are Microsoft doing? I hope to find a way but this update option is coming like it would in Win 10 where u have no check boxes or 'hide update' option.

They need to sort this **** out quick.

Add this to your Registry and reboot;
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Gwx]
"DisableGwx"=dword:00000001

Reserved was just so you got the chance of being some of the first but eventually everyone will get the upgrade through.

Does anyone know how i can see previous Windows Updates that have been installed? (windows 10)

Well i cant even check which AMD driver Win 10 wants to install but on my Insider copy there is one waiting but i have no clue if its newer or older than 15.7.1, theres just no info on it. I did the driver block thing but its still showing up, just not auto installing anymore.
