Anyone like hickies?

I don't sew how they better laces. If anything, if they pop off as easy as they look like they do then they seem LESS convenient than laces.

Edit: I do want to try them though haha.

Load of crap.

I'm either wearing combat boots, or occasionally high-leg safety work boots - Hickies would break on either of those, I'd have to try several sets to get a proper fit, they would look retarded and most importantly I can lace my boots up FAR faster than it takes to fasten these things.

I'm seeing these Hickies and just remembering when it was, very briefly, actually considered "cool" to have trainers with fluorescent colour laces (two different colours, always) way back in the 80s...

Dear lord no. They look ridiculous. Maybe if you teenager yea, but no not for anyone even remotely approaching full adulthood.

They're probably great for kids who haven't quite grasped tying shoes laces.

My autistic step-son has a lot of issues with shoelaces, but he's getting a bit old to rock velcro shoes. These look like an interesting idea, and might make things easier for him. €15 a set tho, for what is essentially a cheap piece of mass produced plastic/rubber. :o

Look tacky, I would like something better than laces though on my trainers. I just knot the laces and cut the ends off, but the ends and knot are annoying and the knots comes undone sometimes.

You only fasten them when you fit them the first time.

Too old for velcro? Never! I wear some Adidas hi-tops that combine velcro and laces. The best part is that you can leave the laces tied all the time, only needing to use the velcro to tighten up/loosen the shoe. :D

I can't see how they could actually work properly (keeping your foot firmly in place while running) unless you are just wearing them as a fashion accessory for fashion trainers. If they are stretchy enough that your foot can slide in and out of the shoes then then they won't be firm enough to keep your foot in place. As it is with laces I use the extra hole on the trainer to tie a lace lock. I know some people seem to think that blisters or your foot sliding forward in your shoe are normal when running etc. But it really shouldn't happen much if you are wearing the right trainers and are lacing them properly.

Also, they sure are ugly! I think I'll just stick with standard laces for my trainers.
