Windows 10

well I installed windows 10 without much trouble to be fair. I only had 1 slight problem and that was installing nvidia drivers, it wouldnt let me install them until I did some google fu and found a work around which worked straight away.

It took around 2 maybe 3 hours from start of downloading to being done and installed though which was crap. I have 160mb fibre and an SSD so I dont know why it took so damn long.

I dont know why I upgraded but its done and everything is fine. A very smooth transition.

Also I had an unknown piece of hardware in the device manager while running windows 7 and whilst it had no impact on my PC as I known its now gone with windows 10 yay.

I know, but I am lacking in a lot of space on my drive so letting it do it's thing.

Its going to need to download 3gig ish regardless....

All, a question: did they remove the ability to join sruffti the left of the start menu? I keep reading being able to do it but it doesn't work, so I assume its pretty release stuff

I have got 4.5gb spare and it is doing stuff as the free disk space is going up and down all the time. I'd rather just let it do it's thing tbh.

So will i need to reinstall 7 and upgrade again?

Good question. You could try a clean install as you would have your original drive still intact with the OS. Other than that you could always clone the drive or like you say go the original path of upgrade first then clean install.

Don't think so. Will be the same as a fresh install from boot and wiping the disk completely before installing.

Edit: For example. I upgraded then did a fresh install from boot. But I could have easily installed it on my other ssd instead of the one I upgraded on and it would have been fine. :)

Whilst trying to download to USb using Media Creation Tool.

Anyone?

A quick one. The w10 upgrade is tied to the motherboard, correct?

So that means if I added more RAM which I plan to do soon, this will be fine?
