Can't get blood test results from GP

Receptionists are just there to get in the way of seeing the doctor. When I had my results back the receptionist said my blood tests were fine, and I should cancel my doctors appointment. I said I would keep it thanks and a couple of days later I was in hospital with various tubes sticking out of me and knackered kidneys.
I do wonder how many deaths GP receptionists are responsible for.

Just ask for a copy, you might need to pay a small amount but it is not for the receptionist of a GP for that matter to refuse them on the grounds you may not understand the content. You are legally entitled to a copy of anything your GP or hospital holds on you.

Just rang and they said I can come and pick them up off the front desk, no charge!

surely you must be deficient in something even if it's just iron

To be honest even I thought that too because I do a lot of running and this is my first blood test on the vegan diet so if it's good I can stop worrying about B12, protein, iron, anaemia, calcium etc.

No. This is not disclosable under freedom of information act. It is however, available with a subject access request under the data protection act.

Cheers sir! Good to know.

**** that is horrible! They only seem to care if there is something wrong with you. I want health assurance not insurance. I think some GP's refuse to let the receptionist view results, I think it was a nurse that told me mine.

What's wrong with meat and eggs?

Everything lol

Ah Vegans and their B12. My fav thing about this is that B12 will have been measured by immunoassay which utilises antibodies derived from animals.. The very thing vegans are against.

They aren't your records. They are the NHSs records about you. You can get them, but they must requested through the proper channels.

Yeah I cycle on roads that have been formulated with the use of animal fats, I step on ants everyday, I sit in my friends car with leather seats. Doesn't mean I should go eat a steak though. Veganism isn't about being perfect.

What are you having for dinner tonight?

I'm happy you have a eating disorder. More BACON for meeeee :)

Also to show I'm healthy as **** not eating meat, eggs and dairy.

I would be impressed if you ate donuts, drank soda & played video games/watched tv all day with it saying you were healthy... :D
