I found out something about my fiance and her family and I don't know what to do...

1) How do you know NASA didn't have decent CGI back then....PROVE it

2)Prove to me that they spent so called money.

3)There is no evidence that any of the videos or photos are real.

^^

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...

I'm going on the balance of probabilities that it was all genuine

Oh and -

1) Prove they didn't

2) Prove they didn't

3) Prove they aren't real

It works both ways. You believe what you want if it makes you happy.

It always shocks me when otherwise intelligent people hold questionable views. The amount of people who believe in say a homoeopathy, acupuncture, talking to spirits, ghosts, crystal healing, magic healing, prayer, big-foot/nessy or any other laughable belief is beyond me.

The worst is the 'ghost story' that loads of people have, in all cases they seem to think hearing or seeing something they can't explain - means they can explain it as ghosts.... urrgghhh.....

Yep it always confuses me as well. Usually I would assume an intelligent person would understand the importance of logic, fact and evidence but you still get intelligent people who have silly beliefs. That includes religion too.

Lol, why you include acunpuncture in that list?
Its a medical treatment. Maybe classed as 'alternative' in the UK, but utterly proven benefits.
however doesn't work for everybody....the same as Paracetamol.

This is because you don't understand what intelligence is or what it means.

Just accept their beliefs, whether irrational or not, and don't worry about it. I don't see how this is a big deal.

This. Loads of folk believe in different things, whatever gets them through the day.

I will say though that if you do decide to marry her and you think that her beliefs are nonsense then it is only going to get worse. When/if you have a kid what do you teach them, her way or yours? been there, now divorced but thankfully never had a kid with her.

Yes this is all fine but if you're planning a family then I would think twice. I dated a girl with a wacko family. I really liked the girl but if I had had a kid with her I would have tried my best to bar the family................ no it just wouldn't have worked.

Thanks for the awesome replies guys :D

I can assure you that I still love my fiancé very much and there will be no breaks up today. I will just make sure that I'm the one to educate the children and not her and her parents! :p

It's classed as alternative in all western countries. It along with homoeopathy relies on the placebo effect.

If you really want to look into conspiracy theories - investigate previously classified US government documents. Our governments lie to us all the time...nothing shocking about it. e.g. pearl harbor

Unfortunately for recent global events we will be waiting quite a long time for said documents to be declassified. Nothing happens anyway we have a whinge about it then carry on.

Sorry mate....if you don't have images + videos and documents its fake

I am not arguing against moon landing. And I don't care much either.

My point is that people can have different beliefs/opinions and this necessarily doesn't make someone idiot. OP has just declared his Fiance (whom he knows for 8 years) and family plain stupid because they don't believe in moon landing and stick to their religion. Now you have to ask that who actually is being an idiot here. lol

The problem here is that you are ignoring the fact that once something is irrefutably proved one way or the other, it is no longer a matter of opinion.

The moon landings DID HAPPEN, this is not open to opinion, it is FACT. To state the opposite is not a case of having an opinion, it is a case of being an idiot.

Russian and most recently India and China have seen and shared proof that the moon landings happened. It must be some conspiracy if NASA has been able to get two of it's most well known enemies to go along with it, as well as the Indian space agency.

Oh my, hahahaa, I feel for you mate.

I'm so glad my in laws are normal.

Ask them about 9/11 next? :D

I do worry about peoples beliefs because people that believe stupid things do stupid things, just look at the news on a daily basis.
