Crossfire.

Oh I see. So that would be why that doesn't work then..

It's not Crossfire I want to work in BL it's Vsync. The game doesn't have it so it's tearing city. Obviously when I was running Gsync that made it work.

What I want now is a hacked Freesync. I know my monitor technically supports it but obviously doesn't because it's Gsync but it has the correct Displayport input.....

Gotcha. I don't think it's possible though I'm afraid, not without getting a proper FreeSync panel.

Well from what I read there wasn't really anything specific about Freesync you just need the correct HDMI/DP that supports it.

Not too hopeful atm and hey, whining about a game that's donkey's years old isn't really a reason for it. My wife and I are nearly through it now any way, and BL2 supports Vsync..

Issue is my wife had a stroke, so her bearings and balance are a bit off. Therefore I have a dual monitor on her rig that I look at, so that I can see where she is and offer her directions if she gets lost etc. Problem is it's tearing city on both our rigs (she runs 1080p with a Titan Black and I run Fury X @ 4k).

BL2 should not have these issues though, so hopefully once we crack "the vault" we can move on :)

Understandable.

FreeSync only works on DisplayPort at the moment, though we've had it running on HDMI as proof of concept.

What does a monitor *need* for freesync Matt? I've got the samsung 4k (u28d590) but it's the model before they released their freesync version. From what I can gather it's the same hardware though - so is it just a firmware change to enable it?

It needs a FreeSync supported scaler which gets vetted by AMD.
