This thing can take off almost vertically!! Looks scary to me as i hate flying!! :eek:

Impressive. I worked on the Aribus A380, that's my favourite jetliner. 787, nah that's for newbs.

When you've seen the Airbus A380 do almost the same thing plus other aerobatics at Farnborough you're not so easily impressed.

Love the A380 but still prefer the Queen of the skies. There is something about the 744 which makes it special. A close 2nd comes the 773ER.

What kind of Gs are they pulling when vertical? Can average Joe withstand it enough?

Otherwise, it's a rollercoaster ride everytime I want to fly out on a 787!

I would imagine they would never actually take off at that angle. More of a demonstration to show what the aircraft can actually do, if required.

Think of say London City airport where the take off angle is considerably steeper than the typical angle requirement.
