I'm Amazed the pilot survived.
Yet they put the event on over land.. And this happens. One photo has shown the jet going from the river towards the hotel/collage. So it looks like the loop was done next to or perhaps over a residential area.Shoreham is by the sea.

I'm not an aerosexual, I couldn't care less if they stop these things or not but plenty of others seem to enjoy them. Yet there's no way any aircraft let alone and old out of service plane should ever be doing a loop over a built up area.
Even if it was a malfunction, it's still a pleb thing to do.
Let's put it in perspective though - these are the causes of death from 2010:
