hi
I'm looking at buying an LG G4
I think expansys are selling the EU version, it just says comes with EU plug and UK adapter

in general is there anything different about EU versions of mobiles? anything I should be wary of?

does anyone here have EU version of a smartphone?

thanks

there maybe a different model number..

Available versions: H815 (EMEA), H815TR (Turkey), H815T (Hong Kong), H815P (LATAM, South Africa), H812 (Canada), H810 (AT&T), H811 (T-Mobile), LS991 (Sprint), VS986 (Verizon), US991 (US Cellular)

As long as you buy from reputable company (expansys are) then you will have no problems with a EU version of any phone

the power supply will be 2 pin but just use the supplied adapter.

sometimes the different region phones dont come with the turbo/fast chargers but i think the G4 adapter is a normal one anyway

With eu it's not even the model number difference.

3 things :

Possibly different software build, which may affect the speed of update delivery, whether in a good or bad way
Eu wide warranty, so uk's covered
2 pin charger, which 1 quid adapter will take care of

It's very tricky to support all the different LTE, UMTS and GSM bands in one device; so manufacturers make different versions of Phone X for different regions and/or technologies.

Qualcomm charge a higher licensing fee for TDD LTE, so manufacturers will often make a model just for the countries that have this deployed.

And then you have the countries that don't allow certain features such as wifi and FaceTime.

Very definitely worth checking 4G.

I recently bought a Lumia 640 XL Dual SIM, which is a Hong Kong retail product. Apart from dual SIM not being available in the UK, it was significantly cheaper also. Currently running on EE 4G just fine. Don't know about other networks, but it was a UK site, so I'd be surprised if it doesn't support all the UK 4G networks.

hmmm, wonder if it's worth it then. they seem a fair bit cheaper

has anyone used expansys, is this what they specialise in, imports and the like

Expansys are very good and totally legit. Have purchased a number of phones through them for work use over the last 5 years.
