Your average German must surely be fuming about the crazy numbers Merkel seems to be coming out with. 800,000! There must surely be some warped agenda here. That many people coming into a country will significantly alter the very fabric of that society eventually. I am amazed Germany will allow for it. I am pretty certain there would be absolute uproar if Cameron announced plans like it. At least his 20,000 over the next 5 years policy was carefully considered.
As others have said here, these "refugees" don't seem genuine to me. Seem to be chancers quite frankly. It is a horrific situation in Syria no doubt but other Middle East countries need to step up and help out, not just Europe. There is a real danger here of opening up the flood gates. It seriously is worrying.
We need to exit the EU asap really. We also need to kick out all of the extremists as others have said. Totally unacceptable situation. Rarely feel this way but I genuinely fear for Christian society with stuff like this happening.

If and when this country (and the EU) becomes islamic, all those good things you mentioned will be lost.
They will burn down our libraries, because western education is at odds with their religion.
They will destroy our freedoms, because there is no room for personal freedom in islam. In islamic states, you will obey the "prophet" or you will be imprisoned or killed.
Economy? The only islamic countries that have anything close to a 1st world economy are those rich in oil. Where western countries came in and put in all the infrastructure for them. Most islamic countries are broke and backwards.
Social security? In islam, if you are gay you will be stoned to death. If you are a woman who is raped, you need 3 men to testify on your behalf or you are guilty of adultery and will be whipped or stoned. If you are a migrant worker, you will live in conditions worse than the refugee camps, and have a very good chance of dying on the job.
We are trying to save this country from going backwards into the dark ages. Yes, we love the things western society has built and given us. We want to keep those things, not throw it away to be "more tolerant" to an enemy culture that despises us!
When will you people open your eyes to the reality of what islam represents?

I agree exit the EU , but will that cause more problems with the EU countries if we did leave ?

I think Germany is mad to take that many is as well. They may be capable of supporting them but the changes to their society would be irreparable. Some groups integrate into society well when they move country but if you look at most countries, minority groups tend to gravitate towards a specific geographical area and create a little slice of home where the vast majority of people who live their are of the same religion, nationality or ethnicity. London has very obvious areas where this has happened and its not a good thing.
The EU is as good as lost. Sweden and Germany are leading the way towards a lovely socialist/islamist utopia. Merkel is on record as saying Germany needs to accept a future where mosques dominate the landscape.
No kidding.

Also unemployment in the EU averages 10%, why screw the working class even more like this? If you need to replace population then give bigger tax breaks to people having babies. If you need more workers import them from Eastern Europe like they've been doing anyway.

The referendum can't come quick enough. Germany are just as misguided as they always have been and the sooner we have a clear distant between us and them again the better. I'm convinced the Germans are just trying to repopulate and allow Islam to take over so that they remove themselves from any IS target lists because they don't have the stomach to stand up and fight. Merkel is without doubt in the top 10 of figures hell bent on destroying Europe, I'll let you populate the other 9 but one of them is definitely a German too.
Cheap labour is good for big business, it isn't all that good for the low earners.

sounds like the gov already told businesses not to campaign for exit of the eu until Cameron has a deal he can present
BTW found an interesting statistic whilst checking out the statistics for muslim births, percent of muslim population etc after you guys went all hyperbole and it's clear we won't see 50% muslims in our life time and you are all speaking utter crap.
Not that I agree that all muslims are bad people or that islam is inherently worse than any other religion, all religions are equally bad.
People with no religion had the highest proportion of people who were economically active, Christians and Muslims the lowest. Jewish people had the highest level of employment and Muslim people the highest level of unemployment.

I for one welcome our hard working muslim overlords it's clear religion inspires it's followers to get a job and contribute to society
although I suspect muslims come off worse because their women generally are supported by the men financially ? like Christians used to before the gov realised it could collect twice the tax if everyone worked
