"Religion of peace"
It's almost like everyone is trolling me.

This, I wouldn't worry too much about the word racist. At this point the terms racist and xenophobic are so overused by the sandal wearing brigade that it simply means you disagree with lily livered liberals. It's simply become their catchphrase, the catchphrase of the self-important windbag.
I for one am proud to be a part of a nation which is helping these people, some of which have witnessed and experienced things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. Yes I am worried and truth be told a little scared of what could potentially happen but I think that with enough attention and care, these people could integrate well enough over time to fit in and contribute towards our society. If everyone stopped being all "hurrr foreigners and terrists ermahgehrd" and focussed their efforts on helping these people, most would be extremely grateful and those with malicious intent might think twice.
Sadly I don't have the means to help out but if I did, I could guarantee you that I'd be more than happy to help a family. If more folks did that, this issue would be reduced to almost nothing instantly.
Yes there are potential risks and yes it could go horribly wrong but we need to be the bigger person and teach them that we are not the enemy. Education, employment and integration are the keywords here, not terrorism.

They wont, generally a vast majority of them will stick to their own and want what they have in Syria in the UK.
Are we dealing with the cause though?

Sadly not, but that's an entirely different topic and not something I'd be able to sort out.

So you support the sticking plaster approach.

But you are the enemy - to at least some of them - by virtue of not being a muslim. They may not want to kill you, but they'll for sure want to convert you. Do they not believe it is the destiny of islam to dominate the whole world?
You know that many people beheaded by ISIS were aid workers. As well as journalists, doctors, etc. People who thought they were helping their fellow man.
ISIS isn't muslims everywhere, but neither is islam the religion of peace. It proves this by its works, by the sheer number who take up arms in its name. Not just ISIS, of course, but islamic militias all over the world.
Islam started in bloody conquest. There is blood on the hands of muslims today all over the world. These people are just following the example of their "prophet", are they not?
Finally someone on live TV has the minerals to say something.

Let's see if Japan up their refugee intake up from last year's whopping 11.

Good points, well made. I don't know enough about Islam to be able to comment on that, but it's food for thought.
