I always just get angry when I see people whinging about FGM. Like it's only barbaric because it occurs to women, yet genital mutilation happens to men ALL THE TIME for no other reason than "it's about passing into manhood" or other ******** reasons.

I've seen more and more of this type of feminist superiority attitude recently amongst some female friends. Bit surprised really.

For example: Someone moaning on FB the other day about a guy asking her on public transport if she was single and fancied a drink ("I'm commuting and not sitting there waiting for offers!"). If this carries on then the human race is doomed. :p

Most publicity is good publicity for media careers. Most recent example is Katie Hopkins, who has made a career out of making people angry at the intentionally provocative stuff she comes out with.

There are multiple types of FGM, some more severe than others. One of the more common forms of FGM is the removal of the clitoral hood, which is actually extremely similar to conventional circumcision.

Certainly, FGM in all it's forms is awful, and every attempt should be made to stop it, but on the other hand, it's not like MGM is any better. Why is male circumcision okay when FGM is not?

If men and women were truly equal many women would have their citral hood removed for "hygiene " reasons at birth...
