Life in the UK Test

This is the problem when there is a clamour from the voting population to do something, regardless of validity. Rather than looking at objective, relevant measures such as skills or wealth, language etc, we instead end up with this kind of stupidity in our immigration process, and then the same electorate wonders why nothing changes...

I am generally pro immigration, but this kind of testing is just nonsense

Total agreed. I know its rubbish as this isn't the first thread. But surly if we have such a test. It should be basic English speaking and writing and laws, especially those laws different from home country.

They can deport me to any country with lots of Forrest mountains and lack of laws.

16/24 :(

History is my downfall and anything remotely related to parliament.

Same problem for me and the history question related to parliament wasn't even covered in schools. I bet most people got that one wrong.

"Name TWO of the main Parliamentary groups in the early 18th century"

23/24 in 3 minutes. I'm sure a lot of Brits would crash and burn on these tests. Also noticed that some of the answers about fundamentals of British life seem to be stuff you would see in some 'British life is really great!" marketing PowerPoint presentation.

I managed to get that one, I stumbled on the english civil war question got 1/2 on that.

Got a couple wrong because for some reason true and false swap round on different questions and I wasn't paying attention, still only just got a pass, utter nonsense in some of that

19/24. Scraped a pass. I've never been taught parliamentary or English Civil war history, so got mostly those questions wrong.

It's the problem with having a country with history, there's a lot of it.

Tories and Whigs everyone should have got, Labour and the lib Dems are relatively recent inventions.

If it's still anything like my later school day's, I was learning a load of American history, in my history classes!
I hated it, incredibly boring.
