This Is England '90

Was going to watch it last night but after watching the film last week thought I would re watch 86 & 88.

Did 86 last night 88 tonight and hopefully the new episode

Loved it...the fact its set in Sheffield is also a bonus :D

The "club" they go to in '90 is literally 2 minutes from my house ^_^

Honestly forgot how good this is. Loved Harvey mocking smell, brilliant haha. Didnt realise that he was the same kid who bullied Shaun at school.

+1 to seeing combo return.

That ending was crushing - when Gadget realised what Kelly actually meant. Combo returning for next weeks episode will be explosive

We are already half way through this series, going to be gutted when it ends. I guess this is the closest the guys will ever get to a real rave. Was kind of hoping they would find a proper one but it's far more "This is England" that they don't....if you know who I mean.

Am I just thick or did anyone else not realise that Harvey was the lad at the start of This is England (The film) that bullies Shaun in the school yard about his Dad...

They have a fight and Shaun is sent home early which is how he meets the others in the underpass.

I knew straight away, only because my Mrs cuts his sisters hair :P who is the character kelly in misfits. so that pretty much makes me famous will hand out autographs later.

Loving this series so far, Just know its going to all get turned upside down and turn to **** in the next 2 episodes, Its never plain sailing in this is England. I just wish there was more episodes in total!

I had mixed emotions and feelings with regards to the first episode but I did feel that it was a good re-introduction and a way to be brought up to speed with the characters lives.

However I felt that the second episode was much better, and a lot humorous too - it's great that they've brought back Flip & Iggy, what a dynamic duo lol. At the same time though as already mentioned in various interviews with the cast members that have appeared online, it does have a bit of a dark feeling to the story though but in a way it works well - and I think episode 3 will take the story to another level with Combo making a return (at last!).

The only thing for me that is missing now is Banjo & Meggy. I know that Meggy was missing from TIS 88' but I think the both of them together are brilliant. However, in a recent interview with Vicky McClure (Lol) she has hinted that all of the original characters will be present in the last episode for a final scene so we shall see...

Liam.
