Men putting their arm around their girlfriend’s shoulders looks like ‘ownership’

Hypocritical old hag, can't shut up about her personal views but abandons them when it's time to make money. Wanting replica guns banned but didn't mind using them in a role on a movie. She used to be a coke head and loves going on nudist beaches (I bet that is a pretty sight ) She also believes in fairies and leprechauns.

Yeah like anyone is going to take any notice of what she says.

Putting your arm around your girl is means ownership?! lol do me a favour Helen.

In my experience, most Mens Rights activists are more for true equality than male-superiority.

tbf, i imagine most women are for true equality too, but they don't shout loud enough to make the headlines mostly because they're just getting their heads down and getting on with life alongside the other 99% of the human race we never see in the papers.

the days of majority rules are gone methinks, its now a case of majority sits quietly in a corner while the myriad minorities host themselves a small riot in the middle for attention.

In my day, women used to be as 'bad' as the blokes, pinching bums and diving in for a drunken snog down at the students union. I've had to fight a few girls off in my younger days ;)

Seems things have now changed for the better so my daughter will be expected to keep her honour until she gets married - which will be never if I have anything to do with it.

We've got more "movements" these days than my bowels after a good Tinderloo.

Well, that does it. I'm going to have to get an Indian tomorrow. It's been too long.

Never heard of a Tindaloo until today tho... And I always regret a hot curry the day after...

I notice hardly anyone says "thank you" when you hold a door for them these days, especially women.

So I just don't bother waiting now, I let the door go and pretend I'm in a rush by jogging on. problem solved! :)

Mirren is welcome to her opinion, but if she sees me with my arm round my missus and says anything, my missus is likely to tell her to butt out, bog off, and then belt her.

Whether I put my arm round the wife, or she puts hers round me, or we hold hands, is none of Mirren's business, and nothing to do with ownership. Jeez, woman, get a life, and mind your own business.

Celebs.

I don't want to live on this planet any more.

And here's another 10 reasons. One of which contains a reference to that real life troll Bahar Mustafa.

The biggest issue is you get so many people who sees say that silly feminazi group at college in some utterly stupid protest for something absurd and decide they are meaningless and can't change anything so nothing should be done to stop them. But 20 years later that group is now in positions on school boards, unions, hr departments, wherever. Then they start to get the power to enact some of their ludicrous PC standards on larger populations and they do get to actually change things that effect a lot of people.

The way a lot of the american universities are going as with your list along with many many more things, including severe and draconian policies around rape... as in, a man accused of rape in a college can be one semester and $150k into his degree and get thrown out by a false allegation with zero proof at all, not even a proper investigation. There is one case where a guy has absolute proof that the girl lied about it and was with her current boyfriend at the time of the alleged rape and they still threw him out of school, won't let him appeal and did nothing to the girl.

These types of people are starting to get into serious positions of power that can effect the thinking of what is right and wrong for the next generation and the one after that. If every college kid for the next decade is taught that free speech is bad, that saying anything remotely offensive is terrible and to be avoided at all costs, that men can be manipulated at will with the threat of being accused of rape and having their life ruined while women proven to have falsely accused not only get away with it but excused by society at large... well as you say, not the world I want to live in particularly.

You let the stupid little ideas go and 20 years later they become bigger and even more stupid and far more widespread and accepted.

Well, there's Gender-egalitarianism, but that doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

In my experience, most Mens Rights activists are more for true equality than male-superiority.

Supporters of feminism would say the same thing about feminism.

And they'd be equally wrong.

In order to advocate for one sex, even in the mildest possible form, two things are required, absolutely required as the fundamental underlying steps in everything:

1) Define everyone by their sex. Obviously, it's impossible to advocate for any group without defining everyone by whether or not they're in that group.

2) Judge each sex by a collection of stereotypes in order to "justify" dismissing the "wrong" sex from consideration (on a socioeconomic scale if not a personal one).

Those things are required even for the most moderate (or, as I would put it, least extreme) strains of advocacy for one sex. Both are the opposite of sexual equality. And that's for the least extreme strains. The mainstream strains are, of course, more actively sexist.

Frightening isn't it. Frightening how stupid it has become and stupid people can't see stupid. That is what is truly frightening.

I Lol'd at this.

And when they enter the 'really real world' after graduation, they will have a nervous breakdown within two years because they're nonviable in a competitive environment. As sad as it may be for people with PTSD, epilepsy or anxiety attacks, life has no trigger warnings.
