Despite all the scaremongering, am I right in thinking that when asylum seekers are granted asylum, they don't just get given a passport or citizenship straight away, they have to remain for five years or so before they can get an EU one and move here?

Exactly, As I said earlier I'm all for different people mixing but if you go to a country as a refugee you treat it with respect and under no circumstance try and enforce the way of life you use to have in the country you came from.

Where are the houses that the 20,000 will live in here? Is the government going to build a load more? I assume they will be getting rid of social housing lists and building enough for everyone then?
What will they do for money? I assume it will not be too easy to find legal work, as some can't speak English.
Will they go on JSA, and have to compete with British workers, or how is the money side of things handled for them?
