Up to 294 light now too, what's the cap in this? 300? Must be so difficult to hit that as every item needs to be 300! That's going to require some lucky drops

I think raid gear can roll up to 310 and other gear will roll 300+ if you're at the high 290s mark (maybe up to 305 but I'm not sure).

you earn legendary marks by

1) dismantling legendaries (3 marks unleveled, 5 if you max the weapon out but don't unlock anytthing)
2) playing the daily PVP playlist (15 marks)
3) doing the daily PVE story mission
4) completing the quests. Some of these quests give 25 marks. Hover over the quest to see the rewards. If you don't have any with legendary marks, keep playing to unlock them.

You can only wear legendaries at rank 40, and if you're not 40 you probably not high enough to do the daily heroic story. PVP daily and quests for you then :)

Spot on mate thanks!

Where do i find the daily pvp stuff and story quest? Cant seem to see anything like that? On my world map i have a single crucible icon in bottom left but the others are greyed out?

Do you get an introductory mission for the Court of Oryx or anything that explains runes and the scannable items on the dreadnought or are you meant to figure that stuff out on your own?

The issues I have is playing with randoms as they're sometimes totally useless.

Tell me about it! It's almost impossible to get a streak going in the Heroic Strike playlist due to quitters and people who can't figure out the mechanics of some of the fights.

USE THE PILLARS FOR COVER AND DRAW THE RESTORATIVE MIND'S FIRE WHEN SOMEONE IS MOVING WITH THE RELIC GODDAMMIT!!!! IT'S NOT HARD!!!

You're meant to figure it out but it's fairly straightforward I thought as the runes themselves give you recommended light levels so you can tell from that what level enemies you'll face.

And what about all those loot chests on the dreadnought? I've managed to get a key to one of them when a rune dropped randomly. It's happened twice but been the same rune/key combo each time. I wonder how you get access to the others but I don't want to give in and consult a guide. :D

I also made a new character and jumped to level 25. You get a set of level 25 gear but none of the abilities open up. So I've currently got a level 25 Hunter with 3 abilities :(

Bloody love Telesto, hated fusion rifles previously but this feels very nice to use.

Yup love mine, in PVP it absolutely wrecks. If a player doesn't die from the from the initial hit they panic and then die to the attached void bomb things it shoots out. I had a player run round the corner into to friends and they blew up giving me a triple kill from a singular shot.

I shall have to try my Telesto in PvP next time I play. Sounds a little OP though that the exploding shards are enough to kill but as I will be the one using it I don't care if it is OP :D

It seems such a grind once you hit higher levels. I must have decoded 30+ engrams yesterday and I went up a massive 0.5 of light level. I just hope the first bit of the raid isn't too difficult to get some 300 or above drops to make life a little easier to level up.

I got a couple of items and only done 1/3 - a rocket launcher at 308 and a ghost shell at 302. So that answers that. :p

Im a bit lost in Destiny.

I am now level 28. I have only ever played the story\patrol missions and MP. Not played any strikes\raids.

Is there any website or info that anyone can share on what to do in the game at my level? It is now a case of playing strikes etc and getting better gear?

I just came back to Destiny when Taken King launched, despite not having the expansion, I did have the season pass for the first two expansions so I am playing their story missions.

Just looking for a point in the right direction ;)

Cheers

In case anyone doesn't realise (I didn't until the weekend) you can use motes of light within your inventory screen to add XP to your equipped gear.

A year 2 Suros dropped for me and I used about 40 motes to unlock every perk except the last one that I didn't want to use.
