Noisy fan on Asus GTX 980Ti DC3 OC Strix

A little over a month a go a purchased the Asus GeForce GTX 980Ti DC3 OC Strix from OcUK; now the sole purpose I paid the extra premium for this card was for quiet operation but under load the middle fan 'rattles' its quiet annoying.

Has anyone else suffered a similar fate with this card? Is there a quick fix or should I RMA the card?

If its annoying you id RMA it as after all its not what you paid extra for. Theres no fix for it really, probably dodgy bearing in the fan (just luck i guess). The fan rattling could result in faster wear and or failure of the fan itself. OCUK are good with RMA so it shouldnt take long for a replacement.

Only thing id do with the system powered down is just inspect the fan itself, ensure there is nothing stuck in it, no damage, smooth turning etc.

You sig says you have a Titan x, whats the 980 for?

Just haven't got round to updating my sig yet, I sold the X while I could get a good return on it and picked up a Strix.
