New Servers

Silly not having the shop website open (properly) whilst moving servers, surely this could have been operational? You must be losing a packet

It was working just fine for me up until 5 minutes ago when I get kicked out of the forum with this. I was posting OK too.

This is happening again. Was working just fine and then boom, I get thrown to that error page.

I'm Zen and still not working and very slow.

Can you confirm the dns server(s) you are using. I flushed all the caches, and its working for me in the office....

Worked fine this morning however this afternoon I keep getting error connection refused when trying to browse the forums.

I coincidentally (?) had another problem with Youtube and disabling QUIC in chrome://flags has resolved both issues.

Someone should have put a maintenance message up for 15-20 minutes whilst dumping and re-importing the database, then got the old server to connect to the new server remotely for the DB. You'd then have to barely worry about DNS. Bit bizarre it's been done in this way!

Think I might just have found a slight 'bug', as when i quoted a post containing a reasonably sized image, it was displayed in a much wider and full width box, and instead of seeing just a link to the image, a lot of 'machine language' or whatever was shown.

All i used to get when posting before the server change was, a blank white screen now and again, which a simple refresh cured.

Since the server change, when i log in sometimes now, i just get the connection has been reset message, and sometimes i don't get the forums at all, i just get a blank white screen.

Should have just left it :p

Something odd is happening with the database. The search function is not showing new threads. Example, I wanted to find threads started by nbkpsycho:

Yet, clearly in the MM there is a thread started only a few minutes ago:

:confused::confused:

im on plusnet

I did notice the wee message about the dns server change but I clicked on the the address link and all was fine.

Today it stopped working so I tried the google public dns settings. They didn't work for me at all. (white screen on forums although the main ocuk page did work after ctrl f5)

Also tried the manual dns settings for plusnet routers - that didn't work either.

All of the above attempted on chrome. No access to ocuk forums possible.

I then went back and changed them to automatic and then tried it on IE and it did work....fantabulous I have to go back to this **** browser to access the forums now?

What has the traffic dropoff been like ocuk? :D Maybe that's why its running quicker? :p

edit: ahh no im getting white screens on this as well have to mash that refresh screen a few times....to get through

clicking the forum link in the shop works normally for me, although it keeps showing a black screen randomly when changing subforum... have to go back via the shop link to get forum back.
