That's on the default difficulty.

Most people would get frustrated at having that many chances and not scoring but I enjoyed it :D
 
I like full manual !
I played full manual fifa for all of 13 , 14 and on 15 until the last two months where i went back to assisted as i kept getting relegated out of div1...sometimes right down to div 4 in straight seasons then would work my way back up.

Decided i was playing assisted this year but perhaps i should just go back to manual as the assisted passing is not doing what it should be for me anyway !

This is my team at the moment , been trading hard but finding it harder every day to find something with a decent margin. Down to 32k at the moment so i need to keep trading if im going to improve. Every game i've played in the early access had the 1k coin boost as well which is a big help.

Started fifa 15 with messi ( first time i ever got a good player in a pack ) so it's a funny feeling starting a new game and kissing good bye to my uber 15 squad hah.
 
I've played about 12 games in FUT now and I must say that whilst the game seems much more difficult this year, I am really enjoying it.

I'm finding it much harder to beat a man, but I think using right stick is much more useful this year for bursting away from a defender.

I'm finding that with it being slower it's actually quite difficult to put together good passing moves, as there's lots of misplaced passes and things like that, but it's very rewarding at times.

Different, but good so far.
 
The lobbed through ball certainly seems very ineffective now unless the striker is stood alone, if you pump one through and the defender is marking the attacker its very rare the attacker will be allowed to get onto the ball, that is what I've found so far anyway.
I've played 5 FUT games with a dirt cheap Brazilian side and although I opted for pace it doesn't seem OP and some guy with a none rare PL side beat me just passing the ball around. The pace of FUT I do prefer over normal games again. As SS says it's very hard to outpace/beat a man, not sure if this is good or bad tbh.

Passes to seem very random as well, there can be times the ball is just being pinged from opposition to opposition in the middle of the park.

Brazil is a pretty good option for starting team. I'm not sure what is a dominant formation this year so opted for trusty old 4321 that served me well in 15.

I also opted for 4321 to start with but I've switched to 41212, as this seems to create better passing options (triangles and all that) but I haven't played enough to know if it's better or not.

I''ve managed to put together a fairly standard BPL team, not sure what it was worth. I bought about £10 of FIFA points, opened about 3 packs and spent the rest on FUT draft entries which awarded me quite a few more packs too.

Defoe is scoring quite a few for so far.

I agree, Andy, there's time where the ball is just bouncing around and changes possession about 5 or 6 times in the space of a few seconds. You really have to take your time on the ball and pass the direction you're facing where possible. I think I prefer it.
 
So with regards to which version to go for on the PS4, am I right in assuming the following:

  • Unknown price for the Deluxe Edition - 40 FUT packs included??

Digital Download

  • £54.99 for the Standard Edition - 15 FUT gold packs included
  • £64.99 for the Deluxe Edition - 40 FUT premium gold packs plus 5 loan items (Messi)
  • £79.99 for the Super Deluxe Edition - 40 FUT jumbo gold packs plus 5 loan items (Messi, Agüero & Courtois)

Am I understanding this right as far as current information goes? (also, do these extras only apply if you pre-order??)

Ahh dam EA Access!!

I'm hoping my Amazon order arrives a day or so earlier! They're usually pretty good with game releases!

I'm getting bored of the demo now :(
 
Comes out at midnight here. Going to pick up a copy tomorrow afternoon then have a late night! Can't wait! Really liked the demo.

Worth pre-ordering and paying a little extra to get some random packs? Or just pay for some fifa points?

In simple terms there are 3 ways to connect a player (to another player).
Club
League
Nationality

Hit 2/3 to get green, 1/3 to get orange.

You essentially want to try and get them linked together via the 3 methods.
An all Spanish defence, linked through to midfield with some EPL Spanish players for instance.

I'm certain they upped the importance of chemistry even more this year?
