PS4 or XBox One for ?

I was recently on the fence looking at x1 due to forza 6. Money isn't an issue. But after I got a Wii u for Mario kart 8 and then the Wii u sat there doing nothing else after I got bored of Mario kart, decided no to an x1.

Ps4 is enough for me. If forza couldn't entice me to stump up for a x1 I think it's pretty safe to say despite money not being an issue I'll never be buying an x1 it seems. Just nothing other then forza in interested in from Microsoft or Xbox , but least this time I've been sensible and not got an x1 as it would just be wasted as I'd never use it once I've got bored of forza.

I'm happy enough with my PC and ps4. Has me prety much covered for gaming needs.

You say it isn't an issue, but it obvious is. You've said yourself you want to play Forza but think its poor value for money to only buy one game.

You're perfectly correct of course, it is poor value for money. But taking money and its value out of the equation, you'd have one.

Logical thinking, OK I have the money so affording the forza 6 bundle, not an issue but I do consider it poor value for me only due to knowing this after buying a Wii u for Mario kart.

So, yep OK admittedly I will concede your point. I did look for other titles to see if owning both x1 and ps4 would be good value, but other then tomb raider which I'll just play on PC if I really what to experience the second game in the reboot just wasn't enough on x1 to make me part with the cash...

I'd say using the controller on my PC would have also been a reason but seeing as I can use a ds4 anyhow, all my reasons bar forza 6 went out the window, it did just come down to poor value for me.

Never say never I guess, even though I have said I might never own both this gen.

IGN reviews :o

I have both consoles, prefer the Xbox massively. Mainly down to friends having it, games for gold is superb and you get get good games each month, Tomb Raider this month. Microsoft seem to actively bring in more new features too whereas I Turn my Ps4 on and it may as well be a 3 still.

Having your mates on xbox will obviously make a massive difference, this guy didn't specify this. IGN is pretty good, but if it isn't your bag PES 2016 gets good reviews across the board, and I think it is belting.

Xbox gold is a joke compared to PSN, I've got my XB1 in its box ready to send off once I get paid for it.

You played Bloodrayne? Do you know most games are 1080P across the board on the PS4, and many, if not most are 720p on the XB1, if your mates were on the PS4 the XB1 would be gathering dust, just admit it.

Or stick with your phone, far more exclusives that you won't see on PS4 or XB1,

Far better resolution, 1080p? That's rubbish!

Cheaper games.

Play anytime.

Will work on your next phone too.

;)

Ah, so people who buy Xbox Ones are idiots who have no taste and do no research, is that right?

What about people who had PlayStation and also wanted an Xbox

People get way to crazy over this sort of thing. Who gives really cares, if you don't like the Xbox then don't buy one. People have their own preference and reasons and it's not something that is really up for debate. Some people prefer Xbox, some prefer PS4.

No, I had an XB1 until recently, was sick of the controller charge on the PS4. This seems to be fine now so I've went back to the PS4.

Research is important if you don't know your stuff, I'd never come on here and decide a console purchase based on, primarily, fanboy rhetoric.

I mean has anyone mentioned the XB1 media services? That's worth researching.

Whoever said "There are plenty of threads already..." was spot on. Personally, I'd read articles in unbiased magazines.

My fear of the future right there. Gaming ruined by morons on the commute! :p

Arguably Apple is the biggest games hardware and software publisher in the world.....if you take in account all the iPhones, iPad, the fact that they control the App Store.

They make the hardware, the OS, and just let 3rd party design them. Not everybody has a console but almost everyone has a smart phone. (When you include other makers)

It's the future and Nintendo is wise to do the Pokemon thing as a mobile platform.

/off topic

I have both and personally I prefer the controller and hardware of the PS4 so I'd opt for that if I had to choose between them. However, with the recent release of Forza 6 and Halo : Guardians out next month I'd say the Xbox One has the edge on platform exclusives just now so it's still a tough call. Neither system is bad IMO though so I'd just buy the one most of your friends have really unless the exclusives sway you either way.

Would it not be Google since there are more Android phones than IOS?

I did say "other makers".

Google is not the same as Apple in that Google don't make all hardware their OS runs on.

Yes, and I was referring to who the biggest would be. It really doesn't matter who controls the hardware especially in the smart phone market. It's the store and the OS that matter but we have gone really off topic.

In the controller debate I have now used both and I have to say that my initial thoughts on the xb1 is that it's got much better triggers.

I prefer the location of the thumbsticks on the DS4 though.

I have had multiple issues with multiple DS4's (triggers, thumbstick wear and bluetooth connection issues).

If the XB1 controller had both thumbsticks in the middle like the DS4 it would be as perfect as you can get.

Does anyone know if the XB1 controller with the 3.5mm jack degrades the bluetooth connection? The DS4 has this issue.

?...the irony in this post is strong.
Why would I play on PS4 more if its doesn't have the games I want to play on it?

Taste is relative, personally I prefer the XB1 over a standard PS4, as the PS4 looks like a basic lego model, but I'm loving my Destiny PS4 Ltd. Edition design :) I prefer Gran Turismo to Forza, always have, even though its release is miles off. Deep Down by Capcom is the next big exclusive that I'm really interested in, love Bloodborne and I'm waiting on until dawn to arrive as I love those types of games every now and then.

I'm a gamer and would have both systems as I love Halo but I've invested in a PC which means less console time, PS4 won me over, cannot wait for Deep Down.

Still, will no doubt buy an XB1 again, just for Halo... ridiculous really. But got a PS3 setup under my PS4, and my cable box and a TV with 3 HDMI ports, don't like switches and loving the free PS3 games that are coming out through PSN.

The XB1 controller does not use bluetooth its uses a Proprietary dual band
5 GHz wireless RF signal.
