One for Burnsey....

Yeah I thought he was just a beat copper not a fraud horse racing detective

I think the OP thinks this is a Starsky & Hutch thread:) anyway we don't have bobby's on the beat anymore they all got the mallet through cutbacks, undercover police are easy to spot though as they all wear puffer jackets :D

So nobody knows if I can play really loud music if the horse I dont want to win is winning :(?

Fraud horse racing detective. What a title!

It might not be illegal, but you'd probably get your head kicked in a bit.

I love how this is titled "one for Burnsy" - because being a copper that clearly makes him the font of all knowledge on all law, especially one regarding rigging races! :p

You'd be best asking a lawyer, one that specialises in fraud, for that matter.

Thought they were the same thing . But I said mysterious because he just said no, rather than saying what he was!

PCSOs get paid as its a (usually full time) job. Specials don't as its part time volunteer work.

Burnsy isn't a police man, he just dresses up as one at the weekends :p

PCSOs also aren't constables and therefore have no more powers than your normal man on the street whereas specials are constables and therefore have the full powers of arrest and ability to carry batons etc.

:p

Well, it's not like I denied being a solicitor but neglected to say I'm a barrister, or whatever. It's never been a job, and never will be!

I've been a law student, but as you'll know we end up knowing about what are basically tiny slithers of the legal system, with the vast majority untouched... even if friends think a law degree (or two) means having an encyclopaedic knowledge of everything they need help with :o. I had one undergrad module on criminal law where we just covered offences against the person/theft/etc... but not much! That was one of I think forty three modules (at least) I've done at some point, which is a bonkers number when I think about it! But yeah, nothing on policing/the police in any way/the court system/etc. International law ftw.

Well at least I'm not completely misremembering.

I do it on weekdays too ;)

PCSOs do have more powers than "your normal man", just not those of a constable. I won't profess to know all of them though.
