Yeah, it really does look like a genuine have you cake and eat it do it all device! A light A4 sized touchscreen tablet that transforms into a high powered laptop with a physical keyboard when using the dock complete with class leading 12 hour battery life.

It sounds perfect...other than the price being pretty steep! If it works as well as shown in the demo I think Microsoft might finally have a product that gives people a compelling reason to replace their old laptops and ditch their separate tablets.

Don't need, can't afford, do want.

Loved my Surface 3 pro but it just wasn't getting the use to justify keeping it.

Is it possible to configure the SB in such a way that the keyboard is usable with the screen folder beneath it?

The reason I ask is I want to use it with a monitor and various other peripherals via the dock. Rather than have it take up valuable desk space, could I have it act as my keyboard.

It looks like Microsoft have finally got their A-Game back on. I think Cupertino are going to be casting nervous glances at this because if it is as good as it looks, they've got some serious competition to their Macbook Pro.

Really interested to see what type of GPU the keyboard part is housing and if their cooling solution is going to be good enough to stop it from getting too hot.

That will be the deciding factor for me - if it's a GTX 950M or above, I will probably treat myself to one of these. Unfortunately I fear that would generate too much heat in such a small form factor, so they'll go for the GTX 940M which won't really cut it for me.

Hugely tempted to move from a Macbook Air to this. Portability via the tablet when required, huge amounts more power when docked. MS have the design nailed; hoping the hardware lives up to it.

Rumour is that we won't be seeing them in the UK until next year unfortunately. I personally can't wait that long which is a shame.

That's a shame, especially as it appears to have a GPU that's between a 940M and a 950M and so would probably be enough for me.

Watched the launch keynote. I very much want one. Would be a shame if it's not out till next year however.

Shame that we're probably going to have to wait until next year to see one as I'm looking to buy a laptop at the moment.

Looking forward to the reviews over the next few weeks. Will be interesting to see how Apple reacts to this. Even Ellison said Apple was going down without Steve Jobs, waiting for this to happen.

Just love this product. want it, have the money, ready to spend it, but cant buy it...what is this lark Microsoft...come on.

Same... :mad::mad:

I've literally been looking for both a tablet and a new laptop for a while and this really does tick all the boxes. It's sold out already in US which gives me the impression we definetely won't be seeing it for a while.

Keen to see some proper reviews, but this will no doubt just make me want it even more. :rolleyes:
