**** The Official Note 5 thread ****

I actually ordered a note 5 coming from an iPhone since the 3g. I find iOS just too simple now, I hardly used imessages/facetime. It's a great OS no doubt, and the app store is much better then google's play store. Yet I still feel there is something lacking so I decided for a change.

You've made the right choice. The screen on this is just crispy, its a real shame they decided not to release it here.

Main gripes are the glass back & reduced battery size. They should have increased the battery not decreased to 3000 :(

+1

That's how feel about my iPhone 6s Plus after having android for 4 years.

Same for me as well. I went from the Note 4 to the 6S+ and don't regret it at all. I'd been 50/50 as to if I'd keep it or send it back, but I'll be keeping it.

You hear a lot about iOS being less functional than Android, but as of yet I've not found anything that I can't do on my iphone that I did on my android. Seems, for me at least, that it's just not an issue. They both do everything I need.

I would have gone to note 5 immediately had they released it here.. But they forced me to jump the ship

Still can't find anyone who is selling a 64gb n920C model..

Which colour option did you guys go for?

Crispy ;)

Wow!

Is that the titanium or the gold? They look very similar in certain light.

Given the choice I'll be going for titanium if/when I pull the trigger.

What did it cost you if you don't mind me asking?

Unless the prices have changed since he placed his order, £561.39. The prices vary a fair bit depending on colour but you can get the single sim (N920C) for just over £500 (although the silver is £70 more :().

If the silver model wasn't so much more expensive I think I'd order one myself.

£537.15 to be exact :)

It is waiting for me at home. I hope it is the right one etc, because the laptop HP delivered today wasn't

For some reason I thought it was you that post those pics of the gold model. What colour did you order? It looks like they've put their prices up since anyway - white and black are ~£550 now, gold is £560 and silver is over £580 (and out of stock).

Sorry was out at the pub with old work colleagues.

Some photos out of the box:

As soon as I booted with the O2 SIM I saw 4G by the data connection arrows, and a speed test (using SpeedTest.net app) got 25.85 Mbps down and 13.22 Mbps up. I only have one bar of signal where I am so not bad :)

Can you use the charger and can we have a screenshot of 'About device' with firmware info?

No, but it's on my radar now.

There seem to be far more 'A's on ebay for a slightly better price, and sometimes in 64gb too. It's dealing with a private seller from USA though that puts me off.

Did you go the ebay route?

Yes I did, turns out it's on it way to me and should be with me today :D Hoping the tracking information is right, which it seems it is.

EDIT: Just to add, I got the n920c 32gb. I would have liked the 64gb but it was hard to find one which worked properly on 4g in the gold colour.
