Alright, now I am betting we or a lot of us have a fair amount of experience with hangovers so I am going to see if anyone has a clever way to prevent/ease one.

Before some smartass say "don't drink" that isn't an option I am planning too through choice.
I will be attending a pre-wedding knees up followed the day after by free alcohol at the ceremony.
This is 99.999999% going to lead to me feeling rough as a badgers **** so I am looking for some home made remedies or preventatives to be more prepared than a scout in a camping shop.
I'd love to say I can just handle them, in my younger years I could brush them off but in my early thirties it hammers me hard.

Go!! :D

Always drink on an empty stomach, make sure to mix your drinks up plenty (beer & spirits go really well), don't drink water and make sure to drink as quickly as possible - down drinks, don't sip.

Down a tinny as soon as you wake up, don't lift your head from the pillow though.

Good advice, then when you wake up again in a couple of hours drink another and go to sleep again till as late as you can. You'll be fine!! Those two extra drinks won't do you any harm plus you'll be drunk again so will easily go back to sleep :D

A glass of water after every drink/shot that you have. Sober up sufficiently before going to sleep.

Dont drink crap drinks. Go for neat spirits, but the 'top shelf' ones, not the dross they use in mixers etc.

Stay hydrated (note, alcoholic beverages leave you with a net-loss of hydration), eat plenty of food (it will reduce your capacity to drink liquids) and get lots of sleep.

Oh, and have headache pills ready for the next day.
