This is what I was saying, that these files don't really matter. There are some app removers out there but as far as I'm aware they need to be open at the time of installation. I'm fussy about this stuff as well however I just go through and delete manually if need be, and am just picky about what I install! But when We delete app not everything goes so is there a better app remover than using drag to trash?
You don't need to do a 'refresh install', I've been running Macs for something like seven or eight years now and I've never had to reinstall. When new versions of the OS come out, I just patch the new one. I've even just cloned from one Mac to another when I changed hardware.Cheers as that what I though and I normally do refresh install just done one last week.. Just wondering if there as a easier option

I say I've never "had" to reinstall but I did one earlier this year just to see if I'd notice any difference and whether removing seven years of cruft would actually make any difference.
No. I didn't notice any performance difference between the two installations.
So just use your Mac and forget any Windows mindset where the computer slows down over time.
Yup, pretty much that but I genuinely can't remember when I last deleted an application! When you delete your files do you just drag the App to the trash?
