*** PC Gaming - Daily Deals Thread ***

I have a spare key. So was going to give it away.
Is this not allowed? I thought that was fine.

You're allowed to give the keys away, just not to sell/exchange them outside of the members market. The game keys sub-forum was set up so that only OcUK forum members who've been active for a while can see them as too many people were posting keys in the main forum only for a non-member to grab them while surfing the site before an OcUK forum member got the chance. While this isn't a problem, per se, but it is infuriating when you offer a key out and someone uses it without even saying they have, or saying thanks.

Short version, I would offer to send the key by Trust rather than post the key on the forum itself if you do want to give it away and don't have access to the forum set up to do this in yet. Either way, very generous gesture of you, nice one. :)

It seems there are still a lot of scummers that do this even in the appropriate thread, or maybe it's the same scrub harvesting them. I think it should be a rule that people have to ask politely for a key they would like to be gifted in trust or gtfo. But that's me.

Understood. Cheers.

It is in the rules that you aren't supposed to post the keys directly, but people don't bother reading and it isn't policed.

Massively frustrating if you do want the keys and annoying to see others miss out even if you dont fancy whats on offer.

Oh, well count me among the plebs, I had no idea, but I would like to see it policed because even as someone who hasn't gone for anything, it ****es me off massively when *****s take them without a word of thanks.

Surely its up to the person gifting the key, if they don't care and want to just post the key in the knowledge that anyone can take it that's up to them, or if they prefer they can offer it and send the key to whoever asks nicely.

I agree its rubbish that people take them without saying thanks, but sadly there are some people like that.

For those interested in the Metro Redux Bundle on Indiegala for $5.99 (~£4.00) posted by Twirlywoos, it ends in a couple of hours at midnight.

While Last Light was quite linear it was very cinematic and looked very nice so I thought I'd check out the Redux version, especially as I hadn't tried Metro 2033 at all.

Could this discussion go on another thread?

I check this thread to buy games, not to discuss how to give out keys...

Oh give over, what next, crying that people post their support for or criticism of a bundle because it's not actually a new deal. Sad.

I keep hearing good things about Mad Max and that it's pretty cheap.

Where's best to buy it at the moment?
£9.90 at CD keys (like their Facebook for an extra 5% - don't have to log in). Dunno if cheaper elsewhere but that's still pretty damn cheap!
