** POTENTIALLY THE BEST GAMING MONITORS YET!! ** Acer 34" Ultra-wides

Just G-sync I think, users are reporting the issue goes away if you can push 90+ FPS.

Kinda defeats the object of G-sync then tho

I reckon we'll be seeing DP 1.3 monitors on the horizon before we see one of the existing so-called premium 100Hz+ IPS models actually working properly on a regular basis. They're all a bunch of crap for the most part, and one big lottery buying any one of them. It's a joke.

Would you look at that, another recall on this monitor, this is the second recall on this monitor. We might get to firmware V4 soon.

Also another issue has been found, the scan line issue where there are lines on the screen at low FPS when Gsync is on, this monitor has so many issues.

**** me. I think you'll find 20 or so pages back I along with a few others predicted this monitor would be a complete debacle.......and what do you know, it is. Truly pathetic.

Oh look, the Asus rep!

An "official" comment on the subject has been posted on the Acer forums.

I appreciate your patience while we investigated the concerns discussed here related to the X34 backlight waking from sleep. After working with you and performing our own testing, we found that this symptom is seen most often when lower brightness settings are selected. Unfortunately, a firmware or “do it yourself” solution is not possible to address this. Instead Acer has identified that a hardware level remedy is required. So currently our repair and contact centers are being brought up to speed to assist.

This means, we suggest contacting your local support team who can help setup the repair services. Our repair turnaround time is very short in most regions, which means you will only be without your X34 for a few days. Note that Acer is also taking steps to apply this solution to inventory that has not reached customers yet.

Again thank you for your patience and assistance in working through this.

And the RoG's have always had zero issues :D

On a more serious note, if you are indeed an Asus rep then you need to contact OcUK for an official status or risk getting banned from these forums :)

Your insinuating that I am a ASUS rep

Also ASUS monitors has far less issues than ACER monitors, the ACER Predator X34 has so many issues, this is why it has got a second recall on it.
