** POTENTIALLY THE BEST GAMING MONITORS YET!! ** Acer 34" Ultra-wides

The swift was flawless? :p

Where did I say ASUS monitors were flawless, another insinuation, however they have far less issues than ACER monitors.

Did the Swift have to get recalled, no, did the ACER Predator X34 have to get recalled, yeah, it has been twice now.

You're clearly 7 :p

I'll send mine back to keep it up to date but I'm not aware of multiple issues with this monitor and I've been using it daily since I bought it!

For me there is no "perfect" monitor that's why I have a 40" 4K UHD VA monitor and the Acer X34 IPS so I don't have to compromise with just the one format.

Before i read the X amount of pages after the Acer announcement in that thread can anyone confirm if this problem is only relating to the GSync version?

I have not encountered any problems so far on my Freesync version

It's not been recalled twice at all. First issue with the banding was captured before stock was distributed. Sure it delayed launch a bit but was caught early. Only a very small amount of early stock was released earlier in Germany. This waking from sleep issue is still not a massive problem in my opinion. You make it sound like they are recalling everyone's screen they've sold so far. Absolutely not. They are offering the option to return it via their support teams if it causes you a problem for a fix. It's not even something that would affect everyone at all anyway

Can u confirm Badass that its only the Gsnyc version?

or if not give us ur opinion?

Ignore that guy Mentos, hes alrdy been identified as a troll with objectives on Overclock.net

I only ever saw it happen on the X34 when I had it for testing and I'm one of those people who does like to put his pc to sleep a lot. It never happened when I tested the XR341CK FreeSync model. But even on the X34 it didn't do it every time when it resumed from sleep. Sometimes it was fine without issue. Others it would sort of half light up when it first resumed then fix itself as soon as you logged in to Windows again (as that triggers a momentary black screen before desktop is loaded). Other times if it stuck I would just power off the monitor and power it back on. A few seconds and hardly a big problem. For someone who uses sleep a lot, I really don't think it was a big issue at all.

It's being blown way out of proportion imo, especially by people who are clearly just trolling or want to bad mouth every Acer product. If it is a concern and you use sleep a lot, or find it affects you a lot Acer have identified the cause and can fix it for you via a warranty support ticket.

Calling it a full recall of all X34's is just nonesense

I agree that the waking from sleep issue is very minor, however some (which sadly includes me) are having a scan line issue on the screen when G-Sync is on which gets worse the lower your FPS is, mine is so bad that it ruins image quality because it's so noticeable, its all over the screen and even at max refresh it can be seen.

That is not something I've seen much of but yes, I would say that is an issue. Have you returned and swapped it with Acer as could be a one off? Tried a different DP cable? Does it do it if you don't use Overclocking feature and stick to 60hz with Gsync? What about if you cap your Overclocker a step lower?
