Hi all

I need a new build which will be for gaming and video encoding. I need:

CPU - at the moment i'm not sure to go with the new skylake
CPU Cooler
Motherboard
RAM
GPU - I have a Nvidea Geforce GTX 750ti at the moment.
SSD

I'm going to keep my old coolermaster case as its massive and has loads of space. I'm also ok for the power supply (its 1000w).

Thanks for any help.

Hi
Sorry I didn't reply quicker.
The case is a Coolermaster Cosmos S and the power supply is an Enermax Galaxy 1000w
Cheers

Thanks for the reply. Leave the Skylake for now then?
Also, is my 750 ti no good for latest games?

That Kingston SSD is cheap for a reason. I would suggest going with the Crucial BX100, Samsung 850 EVO or Kingston HyperX Savage.

Six core i7 seems overkill, would you use it? Could probably get a smaller CPU and mobo and have more funds for the other parts

I would wait for 14/16nm cards and buy a lovely setup for the 750ti. Skylake M.2 drive a 950 or intel 750 and a 6600k with 16GB of 4000mhz ram. You can get a powerhouse for £1k.

As i'm a casual gamer I was thinking something like a GTX 780 Ti for £275. Would this be a decent enough upgrade from my 750ti.? I'd spend the saving on a larger SSD.
Cheers S.
