What about insuring a device that is not on sale in the UK? I have generic bank account insurance.

If they ask for a receipt you may be buggered so to speak. Unless they insure foreign bought goods?

They tend to cover damage, loss and theft etc.

The consumer version of the Gear VR has finally appeared in the US. Hopefully it will be here soon and I'll be trying out on the note:

That's fantastic. I wonder whether they just pay you the price you paid as they wont have stock to just send a replacement device.
