It is not an insult, It is slander and just becauce a topic might feature discussion on migration or Islam does not mean people are racist. I would guess around 50% of this forum do not even understand what the word racism means.

Is that referring to me? If so I have rtm lafemfatale post yet it's still there. Imho calling people neo Nazis is a lot worse than calling someone pathetic and in the theme of consistent modding should be censored if my comment was.

The implication there being that members are not listened to at any other time other than when a moderator starts a thread on such a topic.

Actually, I'm sure you're not implying that, and that members are, of course, listened to at all times. A thread on such matters doesn't require a moderator to start and neither does the opportunity have to be rare.

As i said here in my original post, I was called various things for my views on immigration and Islam, Basically racist and the whole lot and i reported it and asked the moderators to take a look at what racism means. Islam is not a race of humans, And not wanting to share your country is not racism because in that case self-preservation and not wanting to share is racism, Which is downright stupid with a capital S.


All of my RTM was ignored, Infact i am still waiting on a reply. Yet a month or so ago i typed in a sweary that thier filter never picked up. A 4 day suspension ensued yet i had to RTM the exact same word from someone only 2 pages back. They only took action when i challanged it in the forum section for disputes. My original complaints about online slander still go unanswered, Shame on the moderators for ignoring insults it goes to show there is bias here. Which as i will maintain is human nature due to the moderators holding views themselves.

You are right, people calling you racist is the wrong term. What would have been the correct term is bigot or xenophobe. Moreso when people justify their views/opinions with irrational reasoning.


Tbh I don't really bother with this place nowadays, if I post it's usually in the console part or sometimes the football part of the forum. Guess I just got fed up of the usual Islam bashing threads. Although I haven't seen many of them in here lately plus there are a couple of Dons who I think could do with some growing up ie thinking that by making someone look silly is something to be proud of etc.

Like I said I don't bother with this part of the forum, I just come and have a quick look through and that's it.
 
Just read the new guidelines and I think they are pretty well written and balanced. As ever with a community it comes down to where the line sits between argument, having a joke & teasing and personal attack & trolling. I generally think the Mods here do a pretty decent job of having a light hand - but then I don't post as actively as I used to.
