**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

After using the Note 4 for a couple of weeks now i'm really happy with it, the speaker being on the back is not ideal but it didn't take me long to not even think about that.

I've come from a Note 3, you can really tell the difference in speed. The Note 3 is a great phone in it's own right and it's very quick, the Note 4 is definitely quicker and a step up. The screen on this is stunning, again that's another big step up from the Note 3, that had a great screen but the screen on the Note 4 is really great.

Well......looks like the btu has borked my signal. Sat next to Mrs S who is getting full bar H+ here and I am down at 1. Would expect full as we are 100m from the O2 mast. Bit more scientific is my signal level is -111dbm 1asu hspa and Mrs S is -105dbm 4asu hspa.....oh joy. Can see this being last Sammy for me and changing in 12 months when my contract is up.....or sooner if I get some cash to pay off the phone portion.

Allegedly Android M is coming to the Note 4 in February, no cynics in here ;)

LoL ... That's the one major problem with Samsung, their updates are miles behind their competitors. They keep you hanging on forever, you feel like you should be honoured when you finally get an O/S update where as with the likes of Google and Apple regular updates are just the norm.

I gave my Note4 to my parents in order to replace their antiquated iPhone 4. I love my new Nexus 6P but I seriously miss the Note4 for some reason. I think it's the stylus lol

what did you use the stylus for? i've never used it once so wondering if i'm missing out on something
I work in engineering so at times my team and I would have small meetings, which would mostly end up with none of us bringing pen and paper. The stylus was always handy for rapidly sketching out drawings using the Inkcredible app (I think it was that) that the team could view and comment on.

Other than that, it was always useful for annotating photos of machined items produced on our work lathes whilst I'm away from the office. When I purchased the device it was mainly for that camera, which was a huge disappointment for low light shots - I never knew I'd use the stylus the way I did.

New feature that turns apps off or to low power if they haven't been used for 3 days.... I believe. Standing by to be corrected

Ah right. Now waiting for someone to tell me that it doesn't cause lag or anything, then I can just switch it on and have the phone stop telling me about it. I wouldn't mind if it just popped up quietly but it vibrates too. :D

Its dramatically improved the battery and performance on mine... made me cancel my 6P order.

It's already enabled. I presumed that's why I was getting notifications.

No idea, I was getting notifications hassling me to turn it on. I do hope it doesn't start pestering me for something else or I'll have to root and custom ROM it. Still surprised at the lack of development for this thing, seems like hardly anyone has bothered with it.

Edit: just got the notification yet again.
