ISIL, ISIS, Daesh discussion thread.

Sounds like they might have arrested the last person in the apartment now. They've arrested someone and took him away at least anyway.

It's all well and good you quoting 'good' bits of the Quran, but they require the 'pagans' to convert in order for there to be peace. What happens when you have decent people that will not convert? Is that then a situation in which a 'good' muslim can kill a 'good' non-muslim according to scripture?

You mentioned "Pagans" but forgot about 1.2 billion people in India who have no rights under Islamic rule. Infact i am 99.9% sure they must also convert or be instantly killed.

There is also the buddhists and Shinto in China and Japan. All togeather Islam has to convert or kill nearly 2.5 billion people in Asia! Crazy! Only Abrahams three faiths are allowed to pay the Jizya and have rights in an Islamic state no?

Pagan isn't my term. I took that to mean anyone outside the Muslim faith. Is it anyone outside Islam but still of the Abrahimic faiths then?

I assume it isn't a follower of paganism, but is a synonym in this context of unbeliever/heathen/infidel?

Islam does regard Christians and Jews as being of a higher status than other religions. They would call them "People of the book" and give a bit more leverage. But I think that has far more to do with the practicalities of controlling an Empire which encompasses a range of faiths, because in India they did eventually consider Sikhs and Hindus as people of the book.

Not sure at the time both existed, The black cube they circle around on the Haj is basically a Pagan monument from the pagan era but Muhammed removed all the things inside that was Pagan. But Buddhism was around at that time as well i think because ancient Afghanistan was buddhist and Arabia was Pagan & Christian. You would think with such effort they put into the book they could refer to them as Pagans and Buddhists. You can still see the traces of Buddhism in Afghanistan if you look carefully but they destroyed most of it thanks to Sharia. Which is why Sharia exists and works so well.

Also this on BBC:
Saint-Denis is a multicultural, multi-religious, multi-ethnic suburb or banlieue, Cagil Kasapoglu of BBC Turkish writes.

There are Africans, Algerians, Indians, Chinese, Turkish and many more people from different backgrounds living in the area. The majority of the population is in “sans-papiers” status - meaning they do not yet have a legal status and an ID which would allow them to find a job.

"During my visit in Saint-Denis on Tuesday, I heard quite a lot of ‘us v them’ when they talked about the 'Parisiens' and themselves in banlieues," she writes.

If that is thier attitude i would deport everyone but the Chinese, Who have not really annoyed anyone abroad in thier Thousand year plus history.

I think in the months and years to come the atrocities we're seeing now will become so commonplace that news of them will be nothing like it is now.
We will just become so used to bombs going off that it will just be a part of life like it is now in the M.E.

No they won't, that only happens in the wet dreams of the people who dream of the collapse of the liberal democracy such as the terrorists.. or yourself.

This doesn't come as news to me. I remember a decade ago speaking to two of the most polite and softly spoken Muslims I have known, one of who was heavily involved in the local mosque. Both spoke in terms of "our people and your people". I was very surprised to hear them say that. Now I realise that this is how many of them view things.

You are the one who applies that logic all the time, us vs them. The 'true Brits' vs Romanians, Poles, Bulgarians, Muslims etc. You're very similar to the people who worry you.

Not nice, People around here would love to brand me racist but i cannot speak highly enough of the Chinese and Indians in N.I. Never a problem Sikhs also again never a problem or any sort of agression.

They will reap the whirlwind already there have been attacks in N.I too on BBC this morning with a Muslim family petrol bombed. Soon N.I and Eastern Europe and Russia will be off-limits to Muslims.

Not really they take quotes out of context & disregard a lot of the Quarn. Anyone anyone who read it can this .

And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.

O you who have believed, fight those adjacent to you of the disbelievers and let them find in you harshness. And know that Allah is with the righteous.

Presumably that's taken out of context?

Seeing that you can only kill people who are engaging you at war, i do believe those 128 people killed R.I.P are innocent.

How is "at war" defined? As they would argue they are at war.

The moment i saw ballykeel in that article i wasnt one bit surprised. In that estate, if you arent white protestant you stand a very good chance of being petrol bombed, paint daubed on your house, windows smashed etc.

Interestingly as part of software engineering we used to convert english into math mathematically proven models (i.e. each addition and captured english statement is proven to retain the integrity). I wonder if anyone has done the same with religious scriptures and attempted to (a) prove the integrity of the scripture in terms of it's statements, and (b) performed formal proof of interpretations against scriptures. With the advent of computing power someone at some point is likely to try it. Intrigued to see the result and how it would be accepted. Anyway - that's a distraction..
