Think this deal is any good?

They aren't really any more underpowered than any of the other small cars. They are a bit more crap though. :D

I'd also prefer a french car of the same age unless it's one of the tiny C1 sized things, because they are very awful...

Still, I'd be very happy with that at £1500.

2 years ago I paid £1400 for a 2002 base model 1.2 Polo with 114K on the clock!

Great price. It's probably worth 2-3 times that. No, they're not brilliant cars but they're much better than the previous Corsa and I'd have one over any French equivalent.

Great deal that op it's probably worth 2.5k so u could drive it for a while and still make a little bit of money back. Perfect as a little run about.
Don't forget to join the Corsa Forums where the local Barry boys will teach u how to fit twin exhausts and Irmscher kits so u can smoke everybody off at the lights :D:p. The Corsa forums have to be full of the most deluded bunch I have ever seen the rubbish they spout on there.

Honestly, it hurts to read that!

This is my favourite bit:

The interest is high, but it obviously would be, but this will last 2-3 years im thinking, then ill peobably do a part ex for a newer car, but at the moment, im paying nothing out, im 19 and im driving a nice car! Thats all im bothered about, i dont think about money.. I think about happiness and this does the job!

Im paying a lot but im on the credit ladder now finally after a huge struggle because of fraudsters!

Im happy!

Yeesh. Still, he learnt his lesson :)

Never heard of the credit ladder before & not sure why you'd be happy to be on it either! We used to love customers like you when worked at Currys when younger.

On topic: As long as you don't mind driving a Corsa, that's a good deal.

It's a good deal if you want a corsa, or want any newish car just to get you around. The weird thing is the OP sounds like he doesnt actually want or need a car and is just buying it because its cheap. If thats the case and he has no intention of selling it for profit, then it's a terrible deal - it's precisely £1500 more than he would have spent on a car otherwise
