The Apprentice 11 - starts Weds 14 Oct, 9pm, BBC1

Triple firing! Wahey. Magim (think that's the incorrect spelling), had the sad music when he left I noticed and Sugar said "we'll keep in touch" which I think is a first?

I'm guessing that will be the only multi-firing this series?

it is still not very clear what she actually does in her day job - seemingly she is some form of 'manager' who doesn't actually manage anything as she has a foreman and project manager running everything anyway

She made herself look like an idiot. She clearly does nothing in her job of worth, she said herself her foreman/men do it for her. Is she the boss of her company or is she employed by someone?..because if I was her boss, after watching her performance on here and what she came out with, she'd be out the door in a shot.

As for Mergim, I liked that guy. He seemed to have a real desire to succeed, even if he can't put up a bloody shelf. Improvising the flyers was a nice touch and for April to criticize his effort seemed a bit silly. Surely a bad flyer is better than no flyer when you want to attract attention. I think his 'doer' attitude is why Sugar is staying in touch. Probably sees a little of himself in the guy.

Someone please tell me they got a gif of Selina emerging from that bath!

I think I missed that one ... would like to see, for research...

He's kept in touch with people before, though I don't know it's always been that obvious. Some people have lost but ended up having more success with Sugar in the long term than the actual winners.

That Sam was horribly useless. How can someone call himself a childrens tutor when he can't even manage basic maths, WITH a calculator? Un-freaking-believable.

Also I'm really surprised Vana and Brett didn't get the absolute filling knocked out of them by Sugar for lying about those price discounts. That was just inexcusable. Should be fired on the spot for that.

Lordsralan is the most inconsistent man ever. And when he was on about if the project manager hadn't sold anything at the discount store, he wouldn't have been bothered. I bet you he would. He'd be all over that. He just changes his tune according to which way the wind is blowing that day.

Similarly, when he berated the team that got a 5% discount from the wholesaler because they had initially asked for 50%, banging on about how they have razor tight margins and so would never give that size discount. Well that just makes the fact that they did get a discount all the more praiseworthy.

It always makes you wonder though if they're only getting the discount because it's the apprentice. The seller wants to be the good guy and give them a discount on camera. If they didn't have a film crew following them around, when they asked for two for one, they probably would have been told to **** off.

This will defintiely be the last series I watch of this show, it's just awful now and the same stuff each series. It's gone real stale.

They used to be Britains brightest business minds, now it's just avergae Joe looking for fame and a springboard to bigger things.

I find the whole thing of Sralan saying 'if you don't sell the most it's not the be all and end all' or whatever a bit bull tbh. He's crucified people before when they've been on a selling task and someone hasn't done that well at...y'know...selling.

To be honest at this stage you need to watch your back and look after number one. Just like Scott this week someone will pounce on you if you haven't done as much as someone else. Oh, and walking out straight past Sam was a total dick move. I hope he goes soon.

Next week looks cringe af. Can't wait :D

It says in next week's TV guide that he's going to do something unprecedented. I suspect from the trailer at the end of this week's episode, that the team that causes a woman to have to go to hospital with her nut allergy will all be fired in one swift stroke.

I gave last year's series a miss after having watched it for a good number of years. I thought I'd try it again this year to see if it was any better, but no... I'm invested now, and the two blondes are just about making it watchable, but otherwise I think I'm done.

Here's my take on the remaining candidates:

Selina - awful. Very bitchy, she must be gone soon
Scott - seems confident and generally effective. Bit of a tool last week though blanking Sam after he was fired.
Vana - I think she has potential. I think her future will rest on whether she can get through to the interviews.
Richard - Arrogant but also seems fairly astute. If he can avoid annoying people (in particular Lord Sugar and his aides) then he stands a chance.
David - Not convinced. Seems a bit wishy-washy, surprised he has lasted this long
Joseph - Came to the fore recently, shows good practical application and leadership. I think LS will have a soft spot for him, however I can see him coming unstuck in the interviews and having his business plan scrutinised if he gets that far
Gary - Dark horse. Unlike most candidates, I can't really remember many major failings on his part (there may have been some, but they haven't stuck in the memory). As with Vana I think if he makes it through to interview he has a real chance.
Brett - out of his depth. Nothing against the guy but I just can't picture him as a business partner for LS
Charleine - doesn't strike me as being particularly intelligent, but does seem to make the most of what she has. Haven't really formed an opinion on her yet.
