It's snowing

Snow for the last few days here (and for a few days a couple of weeks ago). This is what non main roads in Canada look like when it snows... Impossible to even stand up and makes UK roads look perfect in comparison*. :p

*getting in there before someone complains the council hasn't gritted their road and how other countries handle it better. ;) that said, everyone drives like normal on them with no issues...:p

It rained before turning in to snow, so there is 2inches of snow and beneath that an inch of sheet ice...nice!

I was going to say that looked like here, but we only had a couple of cm about a week ago. Predicting 20cm+ this afternoon and overnight though.

Earlier today, but has now formed as sheet ice across all the pavements!

We had 4-5 inches of snow last night. The biggest problem is that it settled on top of frozen rain so today has been "interesting" so far. The pavements are lethal!! Bloody freezing too and it's still only -0.5 degrees C now. It will start getting colder again in a couple of hours. I had to drop the car off at a bodyshop in Elgine this morning to get the wheel arches sorted and had to catch the bus home. That was the scariest 16 miles I have ever travelled. The bus was late and the idiot driver was driving like a lunatic trying to make up time. The screen washer was broken too so you couldn't see much out of the windscreen. I was very glad to get off that bus!!

I also saw a tool in a BMW 3 series in a layby after he realised his mistake. He was taking his snow socks off his front tyres and fitting them to his rears!! :D:D:D
