OCUK Black week deals

Something in UK law somewhere, that an item needs to be sold for X price for at least 28 days, for it to be considered a sale when the price is dropped. Or something like that anyway.

Amazing how much that is being thrown about since Sugar said it on The Apprentice

I expect that OCUK purchase the majority of their computer parts at around 50% (max) of their pre VAT sell price. Especially on the big bulk orders. If not, their buyers would be underperforming. Of course there are other overheads in running the business, but still to say there is no way they could do a 30% discount on a 3grand pc, it's laughable.

As others have pointed out, you're wrong. OCUK will be working on pretty tight margins for most of their products, its the services where they might make more generous margins.

This is why most independent computer shops went out of business. You just can't make a living out of selling a couple of systems a week.

Never worked in retail but I imagine that's what the slow months post sales are for or in case of online businesses just burying the product into your catalogue of products?

A 2500 guitar amp is a boutique item and would be stocked in less than 5 pieces, so no it doesn't work that way.

It is very peculiar how someone who is on ~£130k a year ( assuming full time hours) would want to waste so much time complaining about Black Friday deal prices on an internet forum.
