I'm not sure there necessarily will be any tipping point - the US has had a high numbers of gun deaths for years - you'd need a huge increase in shootings which may never happen... tis quite plausible for these mass shootings to carry on occurring as regularly as they currently are and nothing changing

I saw this on russell howard, I thought it was decent clip. Pretty powerful, but you look at the people looking to buy a gun and you just think why!

Unfortunately, half the country will never agree to any kind of gun control, and it will take something monumental to even get a worthwhile discussion going in D.C.

I agree that a federal ban is long way off but i think county level bans may start appearing soon. I think already some counties have much stricter gun control so it is just natural that more will follow and the controls will become stricter.

The brain dead redneck far-right will never let an outright ban go through but liberal,counties with half a brain cell will enact controls.

Controls in some areas don't really matter when there are no borders. Something needs to be done at the federal level, maybe during Hillary's terms..

Reported that the police/special forces are in the process of getting battering rams, bolt cutters etc... So it looks like a assault on the buildings is on the cards.

It was roughly similar until they had a big massacre (port Arthur) and they banned lots of stuff, not had another "big" incident since, just a few small ones (can't get rid of every firearm).

Police have just said on the radio that one of the shooters is Farouk Said, 30 and that they are Arabic looking.
