Playstation 2 games on PS4.

I played San Andreas on PS2 then played it on PC for years afterwards with all the mods and SA Online etc. Went back to it last year to see if I could have some fun and damn the graphics and control / camera angles etc were so bad that I gave up 10 minutes in.

If these re releases don't do anything to improve that then these games will surely be majorly disappointing especially on 50" 1080p screens
 
Heard Twisted Metal doesn't have Multiplayer so just single player.

I'm trying so hard to buy these GTA but my conscience is stopping me! :p
 
I bought San Anrdeas from the US store instead, $14.99 which works out a little cheaper. Sub £10'ish.
 
The music isnt intact for both VC and SA - dont think any version outside of the PS2 versions are (I presume you can 'fix' the patched PC ones but unsure)

It run OK so far, but it hasn't aged well.

Seems to be a weird problem with some of the cut scenes as well, where there's like a vertical ripple effect running up the screen.

Prices are really poor but it was predictable. Im 'glad' I bought the original ps2 version from the store years ago but ive not had chance to see if its still on my download list. They want me to pay for the only one available on the store now :(
 
Wonder who decides on what trophies to add, and if they have to get approval from the publisher /developer to shoe horn trophy support in.

If they gave GT3/4 this 1080p treatment i'd actually maybe buy them, even GTA games are good fun.

TBH apart from GTA the others here i'm not so keen on and for £11.99 they aren't all that cheap either.

Tempted by Rogue Galaxy, but feel these should be sub £10, more like £7.99.
 
This whole thing feels like a total slap to the face by Sony, when you compare it to Microsofts backwards compatibility. I still own the discs for my PS2 games, including the GTA games, yet Sony want me to rebuy them? For £12 each? For games that have extremely little done to enhance them and a few "features" that take little to no effort for them to implement.

Really bad form Sony! Also, I cant even see these games in the Playstation store. There's no PS2 section that I can find. I might actually think about getting Dark Cloud, since I don't actually own that one.

I still can't find it in the store on the PS4, yet i can find it on the website. I doubt it's meant to be that way, probably just a problem that they are trying to fix or don't know about yet.

Don't see the problem to be honest, it's not like it was intended to be that way and hasn't happened with anything else for me. Just seems to be the PS2 lot that hasn't shown up and I just bought the FF7 port through the browser and clicked download and it started on the PS4.
